antec 300, PSU mounting?

on the antec 300 case, would i mount the PSU upside down so the fan is facing upwards, or mount it as normal so the fan is blowing in to the floor of the case?? :confused:

The fan on the inside doesn't blow air, it sucks air into the PSU and out the back.

As long as the case has ventilation holes and some kind of filter so clean, cool air can be sucked into the PSU then yes. If not then I'd mount the PSU upside down.

The pdf file for the Antec 300 suggests upside down.

I've heard you can mount it the normal way up because it's got a big gap between the PSU and the floor, but mine's upside down and I'll be leaving it that way.

It can be done either way, mine in my antec 300 has the fan facing down, only due to the psu being about loud with the fan facing up, but my overall system temps lower quite abit with the psu fan facing up.

Basicly its which ever is best suited to ur psu, both cable and fan.

as bifday2k has said it can be fitted up or down i have a seesonic psu fitted with the fan down and it works fine
