Well without religion there wouldnt have been any dark ages, no crusades, no sharia law, and also no Hitler, no Stalin, and maybe also no Mao.

I believe that would have made the world a much better place.

You don't know what the dark ages were obviously, or that the crusades were about political and economic power, or that Sharia is largely based on the pervading cultural rules of the time or that neither Hitler nor Stalin were the creations of religious hatred, but political hegemony.

Beat me to it. To blame religion for the mass torture and slaughter imposed by the likes of Mao and Stalin (militant atheists in the very literal sense) is laughable.

I refuse to derail the OP's thread any further on the matter. Anyone wanting to lolreligion or broadcast their ignorances can do so elsewhere. The Dons have already moderated the thread at least once, feel free to try for a holiday. I'm out.
 
Christians know that 'allegedly' J was born on 25th Dec Christmas day and that date never changes, but his re-birth date changes every year ... why?

The date of the resurrection doesn't change, the date of its celebration does. Just as with Christmas, which was essentially an early move to replace Pagan celebrations with Christian ones; Jesus was actually more likely born towards the summer months iirc.
 
Happy Easter folks, hope you have a nice day whether you do or don't celebrate it as a Christian. And please can people stop posting how much they hate religion in threads such as this, if you don't believe then why bother posting here - there's plenty of other threads where you can express your disbelief.
