now normally i wouldn't be asking this but.... im going to make a htpc for my daddy in da summer because he is always buying me stuffs and i thought i would do something for him back

and a couple of fans

or could anyone else recommend me a decent psu for £50 at max
would prefer modular tbh(not realistic for £50) or could you at least recommend a psu that is modular/not many cables that i could get for £50 or lower from here or fleabay?

it should be fine, if it were me i would get a psu from a good well known manufacturer like OCZ or XFX but it wont be modular for your price range. I like the XFX Pro 450W Core Edition http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-006-XF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1497 but its out of stock right now

Its a corsair so you know its of a good quality and also has a 80 plus efficiency

Whatever PSU you decide to get make sure its atleast a 80+ bronze, because the last time I bought one that wasn't it died very quickly

thanks for that stulid, still a bit too many cables then i would like, i think i might go with the ocuk psu, if ocuk stock it then atleast it wont blow up right away and it is hardly gonna be stressed, and it says its high efficiency so... i will give it a try
