** The Official Royal Wedding Thread **

Has there been any confirmation of how many people watched it? I find the talk of 2 billion hard to believe...

Well it was broadcast in both China and India so that's a potential of 2.5 billion straight away. Another 178 countries broadcast the footage, too. Aye, I reckon it probably was.

No confirmation but all over the press. The UK audience may beat the 28 million who watched the Dianna/Charles wedding. YouTube haven't issued any figures but Google was expecting 400 million for the live streaming.

lets face it- she looked beautiful, he looked happy and so best of luck to them both.

think shes a bit old for a royal bride given the history of late teens/early 20s but fairplay - maybe the maturity will help it last!
:)

I would have liked to have seen and listen to it commentated on from a lad perspective, rating the princesses etc, talking about the cars, giving us info on who's who out of the military attendees, tell us about the aircraft, give us some cool facts on the royal horse brigade etc. Give us manly interesting stuff.

A little disappointed that something like this wasn't done, and if it was, I'm then disappointed I didn't know about it (Except of course for my own version of this commentary in my head).

Yeah i agree it did feel a bit girly some one like clarkson or james may commtating on it would have been cool or even steve coogan as alan partridge. All the cars from what i coud tell was birtish. I dont wanna know who deisgned the dresses i wanna know the 0-60 times of the cars :p

But kate looked hot as most woman do on there wedding day i hope they will be happy together and hope the media can leave them alone and not hound them too much.

Odd question, but does anyone know what brand of water she's holding...?

I did enjoy it for the most part but the coverage did get a little wearing. There were far to many "Fern cotton interviewing an Eccentric Person In A Big Hat" or some visitor from a council estate somewhere. All saying exactly the same things over and over again.
Thought the leaving in the Aston was a nice touch.

Oh and I hate Jake Humphries! Not only does he get to go swanning off all over the world with a ringside seat at F1, he also gets to do a live report from the cockpit of the Lancaster during the flyby. The guy is too bloody jammy by far!
