not many thing's seem too max out my 3 gpu's

i guess u mean bigger res.... already got a big screen ;)

the problem about getting a bigger res screen would mean a much smaller screen than im using (46"), also would cost £700+ for a 30". using eyefinity gives bigger res but also gives headaches and neck ache, i control my pc with my chin so having 3 screens i'd have to turn my head left and right more....

cxonteoll your pc with your chin?

i always prefered amd, due to the easy of overclocking also the overdrive feature. i know maybe that feature is pointless to some people but for disabled people like myself it's a very need feature to have so i can can control the oc myself

It'll be the res. If you ran 5000 x 3000 that'd be more of a challenge but obviously depends how close you are to the screen and whats the best setup for you.

They need to add more options for the top end probably, because its always going to mostly revolve around the mainstream average card and then they bolt on sfx to make it look good or vice versa for the budget guys

Can it even run GTA4 maxed out ?

Because Im (very) low res 1280 1024 only I can run Arma 2 maxed out on a single 4870. Pretty sure this is the biggest factor in GPU load

I haven't, sorry, I don't often frequent the pc games section, but seeing you post about amd overdrive, where you say you have a disability, now it makes sense. I thought when you said you control your pc with ur chin, it was a figure of speech :p

Gareth, even with my i7 2600k, I rarely use all three GPUs to 99%. BC2 uses around 70% of each and gives me 90fps at 6048x1200. Heaven screams at 99% for all GPUs, as you see. Even Arma II OA uses 40% of each and gives me a clean 60fps at 6048x

I cannot seem to force all GPUs at maximum usage. RadeonPro doesn't seem to help - in fact, BC2 runs smoother without it :( :(

I am confused but it does make sense. Does upping the AA/AF values mean the GPU usage will go up?

I did notice that BC2 in low settings gave 70fps with 40% GPU. Upping the AA/AF gave more GPU usage

How does this work with GPU usage?

with all that high-end hardware I would be looking at monitors or at least upgrading from that iiyama. They are OK monitors but considering the quality and value of the rest of your kit I would want a much better display as your primary display. Although saying that, if you have only £200 for upgrades to spare then you are not going to be able to do much. But if I had all that GPU power I would want it to look as good as possible and that means a good monitor that runs above 1080 @ 27"

im using the 46" screen has my primary display which out performances my iiyama mother on image quality, also the blacks are deep black

i've notice when i use smaller monitors i get headaches a lot...

Having all of that gpu power for 1920x1080 gaming is such a waste. I could go and buy a cheaper card and probably get the same quality gaming as you. It just means the cheaper card is like "Yeah check out the quality I'm outputting!" and your cards are like "Ok max settings on this ****ty resolution? Done. Gonna relax for a while". However, when you pump up the resolution to one that a cheaper card will cringe at, your cards will still be blazing away without stopping to rest.

I wish people would read the thread before posting.

Gareth already said he has a 46" screen at 1080p and can't go to a higher resolution without going smaller. He's also said that eyefinity doesn't work for him.

to make it clear to everyone else. i use a 46" screen at 1080p which gives very high image quality/performance.. i don't want to go smaller because of issues of headaches , ect..

eyefinity is nice, but again i would need to use smaller screens and also the issue of having to turn my head left and right more....

anyway it seems using force 24x AA + super sample stresses the gpus to 85-90% in 1 game so i'll keep it at that.....

theres no 32x AA in ccc?

I saw some samsung 46" 2560x1600 screens. Theyre ridiculously expensive but maybe worth considering? Theyre aimed at large graphic design companies IIRC

Theoretically you can replace the 46" with 3 * 27" screens in portrait mode for a roughly similar viewing area but much higher resolution (and obviously borders)

46" Screen is 40" x 22.5"
27" Screen is 23.5" x 13" therefore 39" x 23.5" in portrait / eyefinity for 3240px x 1920px

Maybe get a couple more of those Iiyamas if the stand can handle portrait mode. Bit over budget I guess.
