Girlfriend is getting a PC and wants to play some games.

Was thinking portal, Lego Star Wars etc., need some suggestions.

Nothing too challenging please!

Left 4 dead 1 & 2.
Dead Rising 2.
Super Meat Boy... lol

Resident Evil 5.
Devil May Cry 4.

I think all of those are Xbox 360 pad compatible too.

My wife really enjoyed playing through Lara croft game of light with me.

Anything co-op or 2 player is good. There are some good driving games e.g blur & split second.

She is also a massive civ fan! But that is probably a bit random.

Bit of a cliche, but aren't girls supposed to like Sims?

Left 4 Dead/2 (can be played splitscreen if you follow this post), Dead Rising 2. Portal's a good one as you mentioned. GTA IV/EFLC (my girlfriend's constantly playing it round mine).

All I can think of right now. Should give you something to think about at least.

They seem to lean towards more creative games I've found. Putting them in the stereotype I imagine. :p

To troll her:
Amnesia
Penumbra Overture

Ones she may like:
Torchlight
Trine
Portal
Magicka
Guardian of Light
Braid
Chime
World of Goo
L4D1&2
Plants v Zombies

I suppose "nothing like the sims" could be interpreted that way... but no.

whats wrong with the sims? women seem to like it...

your scared incase she creates your family in the game and your virtual self has an afair or flirts with the neighbour? then your missus goes bat**** at you in real life?
