FPTP as the purposed AV system gives only a minuscule amount of improvement in one area but introduces a fair few new problems. It's tpnot that I like FPTP, it's just they have offered a rubbish alternative, out of all the system they could chose they came up with that to get the lib deems on board without introducing any change what ever the outcome.

YES to AV - would have preferred PR but that's not on the cards for some reason.

Although I'd prefer PR voting against AV would be taken as support for FPTP and thats far from the case. The sooner we get some form of PR and get rid of party politics the better.

Well yes, with AV you DO get a 2nd vote (of sorts). Being able to stipulate your 2nd preference is a 2nd vote, and so on.

Rediculuse argument and should not be voted on such baises. Either vote will lead to decades of no other change. No further change is on the table and should be left out of any decision. One of the stupid yes campaigns lies. To match the no campaign lies.
