New Catalyst Update Out

Drum roll..... and where do we get these drivers from ?

Fudzilla ends with "It can be downloaded from you know where. " Useful.....

I don't know where... If anyone does, mind popping a link here please and I did try the AMD site but didn't find anything updated there.

Thanks..

Definitley updating to 11.4 after seeing the release notes, a lot of what they have fixed is what i've been having problems with.

ive had some really odd problems with artifacting in windows since updating to these, mainly when chrome is open.

Ive flashed the bios on both 6950s which I assumed was the cause of the problem initially but only tried the 11.4s, hmm...

Any link to these new drivers?

Are they betas or something?

All current links to drivers point at April's 11.4.

These are not new guys, the Bright side article, is refering to the 11.4 drivers.

It's fine to install over the top of them, i've done this for years.

I personally wouldn't, i prefer to play it safe and uninstall old drivers and then install new. Most of the time i just do the display driver.

http://www.overclock.net/ati-driver...150-installing-new-drivers-over-old-ones.html

the issue is that some of the files and registry keys overlap and sometimes old parts of the older drivers do not get overwritten properly and they will try to run old code and old settings that do not work with the new drivers and it can cause instability.

Are these actually an update to 11.4 or are fudzilla a bit behind the times in simply stating that 11.4 are available?

I don't get the impression from the article they are saying this is a newer 11.4 rather than simply the original 11.4...
