Following from another thread, after going through my games list on xbox.com, I suddenly realised I am being a bit silly with the amount of uncompleted games I have. I don't bother trading in games anymore so have a huge stack at home. Here are my uncompleted games and a VERY short and rude reason as to why I have yet to polish them off.

Mortal Kombat - Just got it
Torchlight - Bored after several hours
Crysis 2 - Repetative
AC BRotherhood - Not as gripping as I and II
OF: Red River - Waste of money
Shift 2 Unleashed - Car handling dodgy
Fable III - near the end...
Marvel vs Capcom 3 - It's a fighting game
SSF IV - its a fighting game
Borderlands - soooo boring at points
Homefront - god awful
Dragon Age 2 - 1 level, cycled through like a old rag...
FA: New Vegas - not gripping
Dirt 2 - so close, but the races are all the same!
Dead Space 2 - need to get round to this
Dragon Age: Origins - on the very last leg, just never got round to it
Vanquish - too fast paced
Medal of Honor - not a chance
Enslaved - fun for the first 2 hours
Dead Rising 2 - awful... not what I was expecting
Singularity - fun, but just couldn't put my finger on why i didn't like it???
Bayonetta - AWSOME! but gone off it from playing too much of it
GTA IV - again, awsome but so much to do
Just Cuase 2 - boring...
FF XIII - liked the first 10 or so hours, but then got bored
Overlord 2 - fun, but nothing to take seriously
Fallout 3 - not as gripping as oblivion
Devil May Cry 4 - good, but not that good

Yours?

Borderlands - Finding a bit boring to be honest

Chronicles of Riddick - Really enjoyed it but then I lost my game save and haven't been bothered to start it again since

STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl - Really can't get into this game for some reason, but i've been meaning to give it another go

Killzone 2 - Same as above

Off the top of my head:

Far Cry 2 - I refuse to because of the sheer boredom I felt when playing.

InFamous - Don't know why I stopped playing that actually.

FFXIII - Enjoyed it but then stopped.

Dead Rising 2 - The Save System annoys me.

Singularity - I borrowed it, played some but then had to give the game back. Currently looking to pick it up if I ever get free time again.

Demon's Souls - I was playing it but then I picked up Mass Effect 2...

The Saboteur - The Gameplay is well done but something annoyed me about it.

Dead Rising 2 - bought at launch, unplayed
Fallout 3 - bought cos it was £17.99 unplayed
Bioshock 2 - bought at launch, unplayed
F1 2010 - repetitive and unforgiving
Lego Indiana Jones 2 - it was cheap, unplayed
Oblivion GOTY - unplayed, the mammoth 100hrs+ to complete it isn't appealing

I'm sure there's more.

Bioshock 2 - Played it for about 3 hours in one session, haven't gone back to it in 6 months :(

Alan Wake - played the first level, not very good with horror games tbh

Fallout: New Vegas - Got to The Strip finally....and that felt like then end of the game kind of. I'd spent so long trying to get there that I haven't found the motivation to play on yet.

Why do people buy stuff at launch then not play them? That just confuses me intently

Because they were about £25 pre-orders so I thought they were a bargain, forgot about them, turned up, never got around to playing them.

But yes it's stupid and it's a waste of money but I've learnt my lesson.

Forza 3 - Haven't got the motivation to play it any more, feels like a kids version of GT5.
Dead Space 2 - Nowhere near as good as the first for me, lost interest near the end of disc 1
Splinter Cell: Conviction - Too action oriented compared to SS of old, lost interest.
Red Dead Redemption - Completed it once on PS3 then re-bought on 360 underestimating how long and how boring it is travelling from place to place on horseback. Stopping outside of a town every two minutes and sitting through a loading screen is not an alternative in my opinion.

The main story doesn't take long at all, 12 hours max... It's the side quests that tag on hundreds of hours, such as guild quests, random npc quests... The thing I loved most is going to a random village, talking to people, finding out the gossip and then hunting that gossip down.

"That night elf is a nutter, always going on about conspiracy"
Talk to NE: "the mayor is a vampire!"
Talk to mayor: "I'm a vampire"
Mayors wife approaches: "cure him please"
Cure mayor
mayors wife dies
mayor distraught
mayor sends you out to learn more about vampirism
join th DB guild
boss is a vampire
boss gives you option to turn into vampire after doing some fun quests for him
you turn into a vampire, have fun, kills loads of people, use previous cure when you get bored!

All the above can be done in any way you like, and that is a teeny tiny bit of the side quests... Like 1% lol.

So much to do! But as for the main quest line, it's OK, and not long at all, but the game is all about side quests.

Generally, I complete all the games I buy, as I tend to buy new games once I've completed the last. One game that I have yet to complete is Lost Odyssey, which is a shame as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I just can't be bothered now.

Lots - short attention span and shiny toy syndrome.

I know I should wait to pick something new up, especially with some prices falling so fast these days, but I tend to be a little impetuous and pick it up anyway.

Been making my way through a lot of games for a while (going to severely restrict purchases from now on).

1) Taking my time getting through Red Dead
2) Still need to purchase and play last DLC for Alan Wake
3) Got about half way through The Witcher and got bored, but hopefully can pick it up again in couple of weeks.
4) Need to replay ME 2 with all DLC

That's all got on the burner right now, as I never get enjoyment from games when constantly jumping around.

Games still to complete (not counting crap games as the reason for them speaks for itself)

Resonance of Fate - uninspiring combat. Even though its "innovative" in a way but you never get anything new, havent had a new gun for ages, no spells, just all tactics with no reward. Like everything else about it. But the fighting is a laaarge part of it :( And the combat is continuous/repetitive kinda. goto 1 area clear baddies, 2nd area, clear baddies, 3rd area clear baddies, 4th area clear baddies, 5th area BOSS. Its like that all the time aarghhh!

Nier

Not sure why havent at least continued with this. v good game. Finding the time i guess.

Alpha Protocol - Number 2 on my list to complete. (witcher is no.1 :o)
Great game imho.

dont really count Demons Souls as i think you can keep on going lol.

I should be gaming more as i have a 110" screen to play em on lol.....

My list....

MGS4 - epic game, can't remember why I stopped playing it, haven't picked it up since because I've been waiting for the trophy pack that will never ever be released

GOW3 - too much button bashing for my liking, made it past the first boss and that's it

Not sure these count as games to be completed but nonetheless;

SSFIV - I suck at it :(

Kinect Sports - no fun playing it on your own

Kinect Adventures - came bundled with the Kinect but see above anyway

Fallout 3 - played a couple of hours, but wasn't too gripped. Meaning to go back to it.
Prey - Played the first level and then the game locked up so it went back to Lovefilm. Hate seeing it on my list with only one achievement!
Beyond Good and Evil HD - Playing this half an hour at a time in between other things
Mass Effect - Doesn't really count as haven't even started this.

There's loads more that I want to go back to for achievements - 3 Prince of Persia games, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, I'm currently grinding Forza 3 with just 24 events left for Solid Gold... Loads more.

erm -sacred 2
Half Life 1 / Blue Shift / Opposing Force (I have just reached Forget about Freeman level - I had the game on release but spent most of my time in multiplayer / Counterstrike loving playing it again though.
Demon Souls - damn that boss after the 2 dragons
Mafia 1 - not long started
A big list of games on steam -- the potato sack, nimbus, the gothic pack
Nimbus -- fantastic game which I suck at
Mass Effect
Red Dead Redemption / + the zombie DLC
NFS Hot pursuit

I have recently completed Two Worlds on the PC though at long last
