Why are some dreams far more vivid than others?, i had a dream last night that i was in a volcano. It was so real atleast it came across like that, i could see the inside of the volcano and the lava coming in on all sides. I tried to escape but the lava would come towards me, the only part that was safe was a piece of land that seemed to be floating above it but was slowly collapsing!.

I looked up this dream and got
Volcano
To see a volcano in your dream, indicates that you are unable to control your emotions, particularly if the volcano is erupting. You are ready to burst. The outcome may be damaging and hurtful, especially to those around you. If the volcano is dormant, then it represents past issues that have been resolved and put to the rest.

Does anyone believe in this stuff?, that dreams have meanings and what was your most vivid dream?

I do. But not in the sense of telling the future or any of that nonsense. It's more like a reaction to stimuli that occurs when you're awake and your brain performing a defrag with your subconscious.

I had a vivid dream a couple of nights ago. I dreamt that my parents adopted two Japanese girls called Kim and Keira, and Kim got kidknapped. But me and Keira had superpowers. So I taught her how to fly and we went to rescue Kim.

Yes I'm insane. :)

That sir, is brilliant.
Best feeling I have ever got out of dreaming is the rush of being able to fly as I went lucid. Waking up in your dream requires practice though, as at first you will mostly wake up.

Last vivid dream I had was a few days ago.

Having a life like dream where you're kissing one of your girlfriends friend is very weird :o

I hate those ones where you have just fallen asleep or not totaly asleep yet and you dream something like being hit or falling over and you wake up with a jolt with heart racing :D

OP's dream reminds me of the first 40s of the following video. LMAO:p

OP btw you didn't turn into oni akuma did you?:D

Wish i did :D:D

Whats that from, Street fighter?

It's the ending of Oni Akuma from Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade edition. The game will be releasing shortly in June on consoles and in July on PC!!

The game has 39 characters!! compared to 25 in the original Street Fighter 4.

I am looking forward to buying it on PC.

No I don't think dreams have specific meanings, they're usually what you've seen or thought about, an example being that I was watching this animal documentary and it had snakes in it and a few days after I dreamt that I got bitten by a snake and that I didn't have long before the poison killed me, I did wake up relieved after that one. :)

Also, I think have only had one dream where I have actually realised in the dream that I am dreaming.

LMFAO, haven't seen that one before.

Back to original topic:

Last year I had a dream that my Nan was on the other side of a canal from me and my uncle and she was holding up a white sheet with some writing on it but we couldn't see what it said.

There must have been a message on it as she had died in the early hours of that morning.:(

i've had a dream whilst dreaming and that dream was longer than the initial dream and then i woke up from that dream in my dream but then realized i was dreaming whilst still in a dream, then i woke up. it was very weird

Writing in dreams is almost always just scrawls and random symbols, not sure why, but remember it from when i was learning how to go Lucid :)
