Hazard perception

Hows the air up there on your high horse? I watched the clip, I had revised/practised and yet i still failed. And as for my intelligence its hardly rock bottom.

I just think the whole learning to drive process is very painful, from having to deal with instructors, HPT and now the practical as well. Glad I did only the basics with an instructor and then the majority with a parent.

Quite clear, fresh and plentiful - maybe it's lack of oxygen to your brain that meant you found it so hard? :p

Phaffing around with instructors is indeed a pain - after 12hours I'd covered everything and was scoring top marks in all the categories (anyone who's used BSM will know what I mean) yet I've had to suffer through and pay for an additional 20 before they'd put me through for my test

Um, in that case you tell them to bugger off and go with someone else who isn't trying to grab your money.

Problem with the Hazard perception test is that an experienced driver/rider will see the potential hazard ages before the window of opportunity so you stand quite a high chance of missing the window.

I had to practice for ages to get into the mindset of your average learner (IE no seeing anything till its on top of them).
The HGV one I took last year was effectively nonsense from start to finish.

I had this problem when I was doing the practice DVD, I decided to click 3-4 times per developing hazard and this seemed to work quite well :)

If you aced it you would have got 50 out of 50. What you did is pick the wrong answer to a - frankly - easy question.

Please forgive me for getting 1 question wrong?! Frankly I dont know how I get on with life on a day to day basis without coming to you to correct me on any mistakes I make.

Or you could stop nit picking and post a decent answer about what you think about the test in question.

I'm not complaining that you got one wrong, it's a pass. I'm complaining that you consider one sixth of the way to a fail to be "acing" the test.

Had to take it again recently with me working on a bike licence, test does seems a little rubbish frankly. I just clicked whenever I saw anything remotely happening on the screen and passed with decent marks.

Best tip I ever got with hazard perception is to keep clicking as the hazard progresses.

The software will only recognise the click as a pass in a certain time-frame, so it's possible to click too early as well as too late.
