Crossfire on HD6990

You only get the enable disable xfire box when you run 2 or more cards so even though the 6990 has 2 gpu onboard it doesnt have the disable option.

That sucks - I think this is why Sims 3 and Dead Space lock up on my PC. Pretty gutting that there is no way to disable it now :(
I also had problems where disabling Cat AI was the only fix, using an older version of CCC along with whichever driver worked fine for me.

How did you manage to install an older version of CCC? I uninstall the latest version of CCC only, but when I go to install an older package there is no option to install CCC?

Which is the best way to do this?

I downloaded the display driver and CCC individually.

You can disable Xfire on 6990s you need radion pro to disable under the tweaks tab.

The problem with RPro is that for some reason it doesn't always disable the 2nd GPU. Then sometimes, when it has, it doesn't re-enable the GPU after you close the game.

In the end I just made two profiles for AI enabled and disabled. Seems the easiest way to fix it - not sure why I didn't think of this in the first place.

Now I just need to work out how to create profiles to switch more easily between my PC and TV screen - the newer drivers have issues with my older profiles for doing this.
