You mean the Spanish/Italian thing going on? I got Di Maria, Abidal & Cavani for quite cheap and already had Robinho and Cambiasso so needed to build something where they all linked up.

I'm not quite flush enough to be buying 85+ megastars throughout my team so this'll have to do :p
 
Totally sold my Brazil squad for pretty much Real Madrid. Pics up later, still buying players. No Ronnie for me though. :D

well i think defensively first, since he has no cdm's, it has to be his CB's.

anyway, his CB's wont be working together or will mess up a lot of stuff costing him goals which 2 cb's with a link wouldnt.

theres a reason why people dont just lump any 2 CB's together.
 
Need some help with my team - with no ability to build coins, Im still stuck buying cheap players by offloading most of my old team.

But Im thinking the squad Ive got will end up being sold quite quickly after I start making coin - just need an idea who I really might aswell dump; as always Ive got a few duplicates in certain positions (wanted to buy them so least I can try them out).

Currently looking to make a 4222 Brazilian/Argentinan hybrid only using La Liga/Serie A players:

Luis Fabinho (ST) - Nilmar (ST)
Di Maria (LM) - Lavezzi (CAM)
Mascherano (CDM) - Cambiasso (CDM)
Filipe (LB) - Samuel (CB) - Burdisso (CB) - Zanetti (RB)
Julio Cesar (GK)

Bench:
Marcelo (LB)
UP Hernanes (CDM)
Banega (CDM)
Robinho (LM)
Barreto (CAM)

Spares:
UP Hulk (RM)
UP Nene (CAM)
Naldo (CB)

As you can see I still after a lot of quality (namely Lucio, UP Thiago Silva, Maicon, Dani Alves, Kaka, UP Aguero CAM/ST, Higuain, Milito, Pato RM/RF). Also considering getting Hernanes as CAM and moving Nilmar to CAM too once I can replace him at ST. Made sure to buy right formation/position to ensure Ive got near 100 chemistry - current issue is the link from Nilmar to Lavezzi...

Bit of a mess and Im annoyed I havent got a better team from all the trading effort - just hard eeking it out when you dont have any capital...

thats my current team. remember in 4222 the strikers chemisrty doesnt link up together, only to their CAMs, even though it may show a line. EA confirmed this in a podcast IICR.

Weird youve changed the links but still points to same team? Works now :)

I guess it sounds like Im on the right lines but Ill find once I get those expensive players a lot of what I have will be redundant, which is what I expected - but was just checking what I have already got is actually worth having otherwise for me its vital coins locked up in a player I cant use anyway...

now im thinking

change ozil to diego (ozil is a lot better, but if i get diego, he will link with gustavo and everyone else around him) unless you know of any other brazilian CAM's in the bundesliga?

assuncao to IF Gustavo - this means that there is no link with diarra, but i already have IF gustavo, was planning on selling him to get SIF Gustavo, but the money for that just went on IF Klose.

LB will be Filipe

hybrids are a right pain, when you want to change 1 player, you have to change 3/4 to accomodate.

so

Klose ----- Benzema (Nilmar as backup)

Diego ----- Kaka

IF Gustavo ------ Diarra

Filipe -- UP Silva -- IF mexes -- Fanni (captain)

sound good? anyone do better any better with 15K i have spare? only players who dont have a link are diarra and gustavo and klose and benzema (apparently no link anyway), i know CDM's should have a good link, but im sacrificing the link to get 1 of the best CDM's in the game instead of 1 of the crap ones, gustavo is 10 times the man assuncao is

For not having chemistry I can not fault them. They actually work terrific together which I find weird but hey it works. Won 4 cups with this new team and in the final of another one already so cant be doing that bad for me. IMO its the link between your keepers and CB's as they amount of mistakes that could happen and become costly and mine works with both of them. Ever think of it like that eh?

Pique is a beast wherever you put him in any formation :p

Your spot on about the keeper thing though. It drove me mental until i got Casillas.

Crazy how balanced out your team is though. Terry is a bit out of place but you get away with that.
