Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

They banned people from Xbox Live for using pirated games online not for taking down their whole system, And if your referring to xbox live being Iffy for 11 days that wasnt a full take down like this is as some people could connect fine and others couldnt.

Sony biggest mistake here next to what seems to be bad security is the whole handling of it. Unless it happens with MS they could handle it just as bad as like every company you dont know how good they are untill they mess up

Well put - I think thats probably the most important aspect of the situation, irrelevant of what the service offered, what it held needed a certain requirement of security - whether Sony did that or not is the question that needs to be investigated...

Sony will care about the service mainly because of how much money they're losing through lost sales. They're losing millions every week PSN is down.
 
I really detest Xbox 360 but it's looking more and more likely that I'll use my brothers (He doesn't use it as it's crap)
 
Quite surprised some people are totally willing to sell off a console and buy another because of this. Fine, invest in a 360 as it's worth having both, but to sell the other one because the servers got hacked?

Doesn't make sense to me tbh.

I still have my old Live account, and friends on the list, also still have 60 points :cool: im not a fanboy of either console i would miss Infamous and uncharted tho.

im just looking at the possibiltys.
 
I totally get people deciding to move over to the 360 as your only online gaming console as this is a massive failing, but the main selling point of the PS3 for me has always been the excellent single player games.

To write off all of the excellent upcoming SP games just to make a statement to Sony almost seems like cutting your nose off to spite your face to me.

I'm finding it's doing wonders for my gaming addiction. I don't think I'd be bothered now if it never came back on frankly. Certainly not going to be getting any future multiplatform MP games on the system - only PS3 exclusives.
 
sad thing is i had pro evo/fifa for the xbox originally, tried the demos on the ps3 and decided I preferred the ps3 version, traded in the xbox copies for buttons, wish I had held on to them now!
