Live on your own? Get scared?

Does anyone here that lives on their own get a little scared occasionally?

Not freak out curl into a ball in the corner scared, but rather more aware of the silence and peering round a corner before blindly walking into what could be a trap?

I've been in my room with the door shut since before the sun set, just went to get a drink and when i opened my door i was quite surprised by how dark the house was, made me a little worried about what was downstairs lol.

During daylight i am absolutely fine. Will have music on loud if i want, but when it is dark i am a little more conscious of my surroundings.

Is anyone else the same or am i just a pussy?

like a log :p I'm in my room though, nothing can get in here without me being aware giving me prior warning to tool up. Whereas somebody could easily be breaking into my kitchen right now without me knowing and then i go into the kitchen disturbing them and get beaten up :eek:

you barricade the door? but what about the windows
 
I really don't like being along in the house and sometimes I get slightly nervous if something strange goes on, but I don't get scared no.
 
Nope don't get scared on my own... that said tho I do kinda tend to choose where I live with an element of strategy so that I feel secure i.e. no easy entries like ground floor patio windows.
 
After watching how easy it is to open a door with a bump key in under 5 seconds it does make you slightly more cautious venturing for a midnight snack :D
 
So I assume you also turn the last light off downstairs then sprint upstairs as fast as possible so nothing murders you along the way? Of course I don't do that... :)
