Mods

That's a good point, though without being a mod here I don't know if there is 'don' code of conduct.
The biggest problem seems to come from dons who appear from nowhere, dons promoted from within the userbase seem to be far more grounded in general.

Cheers for the explanation about the reputation. If you want to email me (either of the addresses in Trust) then I can ask about it but realistically I've probably only got slightly more power than an average mushroom in terms of resolving the issue so you may still be better off trying a different Don or Admin.

Thanks, I'll give Von a go, see if he keeps up the good work. :p

See? your post has totally vanished. Had I not seen it before you deleted it I'd never have known it was there :)

I thought people could, someone made a fuss once because the delete comment called them an idiot or some similar word :)

I've enabled it for all groups now.

You guys still don't know? :p

Scuzi done this to me.

Deleted a post without any reasoning given, I had no idea what was wrong it was without message or evidence in the thread. I post it again, it goes. Third time I'm susp.

I was then called a liar for not being able to see my own deleted posts?

Well funny that one! :D

So is this why we can see little dust bins now?

Maybe I'm missing the point, but I can see a post above that's been deleted with "Reason: Fox smells".

Am I not supposed to be seeing that or something?

Thanks dons, appreciate you implementing this:)

It's nice to see whats going on and I reckon your work might get a little bit easier as people learn what is/isn't acceptable and self moderate a bit better.

Incidentally... I think I found my deleted post:D Whole thread got nuked... Teehee.

This message has been deleted by 5UB. Reason: This post has been deleted due to 5UB posting explicit material. Kinky!

That's all we see.

The reputation is that OcUK has "Nazi mods", funnily enough even Gibbo said this on these very forums on his return last year. He said something along the lines of how he's "going to try and make the forums a better place and get rid of the "Nazi Mods" reputation that it has".

I've had problems before that I've tried to get resolved, and I either get blanked, but get unhelpful responses that don't really mean anything, and those giving me the responses know that.

Now, there's one specific thing I wanted to get sorted out, but when I contact mods about it, I'm blanked, one mod even added me on Steam, but when I've asked them about about it, I'm ignored, not even something like "you did bad, it's what you get", I'm just completely ignored. If you think you could help me with it, that'd be great and I'd appreciate it.

Now, I think a lot of the mods do a good job, but there are some that are frankly awful, yet they're left to do as they please and are ignored.

As for the deleting of posts, I think it's dependent on what the post is actually about, if it's an awful post, delete it and deal the appropriate punishment out and tell them the reason upon returning, if it's not bannable, which it often isn't, just edit it and or give them an infraction detailing what it was about.

This.

Some of the Don's are ace.

Quite a few aren't.

Some of the Don's have been friendly and helpful.

Quite a few haven't been and it's like talking to a blank wall.

I honestly think that just editing with *Deleted* would be better.
