Don't you hate it! I'm having to wait for UPS and RM and i can't go out as i've waited long enough for them to be delivered!

Keep hitting F5 to see latest tracking updates

Gonna be a long day! :(

Yup. Its all the worse than a lot of the damn delivery drivers dont ring the doorbell, despite us having a "please ring doorbell" sign up and telling them to in the delivery special instructions. The amount of times I've missed delivery because I didnt hear them knocking the door...

I've wasted lots of time with this. The best in my experience have been DPD who give you a one hour time slot for delivery. Means I don't have to waste the whole day. I kind of know the time when each company comes round here, but it still varies some. Most get to me (including RM) at about 11:45 here.

Same here. I'm pretty good at guessing what time they will all arrive. Just comes with spending lots of money online!

DPD or Interlink give a time slot and that mail comes through in the morning.

HMS Customs have been dog slow but it's now been let out and is in my village out for delivery and UPS has some custom made bits i been wanting for ages!

What I don't understand (well, I do sort of) is that you give out your mobile phone number at every available opportunity during the buying process, yet none of the buggers ever bother using it.

It would be so nice if you could rely only on having your mobile with you at all times to be sure to not miss a delivery. Yes the ringing ahead of time is good, but if they get no answer from the doorbell, they should buzz your phone and see what's going on.

Then you could be in the bath, shower, still asleep, whatever, and still not miss the delivery. It would also save the delivery firm money as they wouldn't have to re-visit. I suspect getting the drivers to do this is a step too far, however.

You should also be able to track your parcel in real time online via GPS. That would be cool. I guess there are security issues with this though.

i hate UPS they seem to put business orders ahead of commercial ones as my deliveries from them are always around 6PM which stinks...

the van starts out from gateshead aswell i could walk to bloody gateshead and pick it up with 30mins....

I get all my stuff delivered to my mates shop, they are open from 7:45 till 5 so its no probs, i just pick them up later on in the day :)

Even more annoying when the mobile number is printed on the parcel!

That said, a woman from DHL rung me once.. and personally delivered the parcel in her own car, after she finished, because she was in the area and I'd missed the delivery. Only ever happened once.

I've been waiting for my Virgin media modem to arrive since Thursday, how much delivery can one man await?¿

It's worst during Christmas. I was expecting a few deliveries;
****tylink (Citylink) - 1 and a half weeks late
Parcelchuckers (DPD) - 4 days late
Home delivery network - 4 ****ING WEEKS LATE - 4 ****ING WEEKS!!! worst bit was that the Home delivery network had my router so i didn't have internet.
