Yheah right they have already confirmed that the backbone of the game will be on MW2's current engine. So I'm sure that means no dedis.
They make so much money from each release every year that they don't need to put in dedicated servers and the only way they will even consider it is if they charged us for using the servers.

Yaaay welcome back to quick scoping, stacking killstreaks, getting shot round corners, awful weapons balance and deserting a game after release.
Can't wait!
TBH, the way the last games have been (and thanks in no small part to Virgin Media for dry-bum ****ing connections), I would actually consider a nominal charge to have dedicated servers.
Did they not just release a patch for MW2?
Oh well done to them for fixing an issue after months. Just like all the other months it took them to fix issues or ones they stopped even caring about like the Quick Scoping.
Or the complete abandoning of the best thing about MW2, Spec Ops.
I actually can stomach MW2 again on barebones, it's actually pretty good. Yet few people play it because of the complete noob nature of camping up killstreaks and watching them stack.
The best thing they could add is crysis 2's system that to add to a killsteak you have to pick up the dog tag. Sure you can camp and snipe people but you aint getting 15 kills killing from afar without moving if you don't pick up the tag.
Spec ops type gameplay or co-op features might interest me in a future release but MP gameplay that is P2P in a shooter has had it's day in 1999. After playing games on dedicated servers I can't be bothered fighting it anymore.

MW2 still plays way way better than Black Ops for me. Getting shot round corners happens far more often in Black Ops.
