I'm happy for them to tell their side of the story, but some of the book content is all rather irrelevant imo, in one section Kate Mccann explains how the stress of the search and all meant that she wasnt able to enjoy sex and how she was worried that she "needed to get their sex life back on track". I mean yes, tell your side of the story but is it really necessary to go into the ins and outs (no pun intended) of the effects of it all on your sex life??

Can only agree what the heck is she on about ! Of cause after your kids been killed/missing your not going to want to get down with it , but does the whole world need to know ?
Like others have said something just does not add up with them not saying they killed her but they know more then their there sex life has gone down the swanny!
She's a sick bitch, that's what's wrong.
Her ego is more important than her imaginary missing child or whatever the real story is.

Maybe one day someone here will write a book called "Cheekykid: The continuing search for a Romanian organ house"...
Anyway, I sympathised with the efforts behind the book up until I read that extract, to be honest; the reasoning behind the book was to try to stir people's memory by going back and reliving every detail, just in an effort to reach every last trail. What was written there isn't relevant to that; in a sense I can see how some of it is trying to be of comfort to others who have been in the same boat, but...I don't know. As others have said, have never been sure if something was a bit odd but I don't believe they were willingly responsible. I think even if they were unwillingly responsible, they wouldn't have managed to keep it up for this long. Don't think we'll ever really know though..

If their daughter was confirmed dead then I could see people's problems, but surely this just gets her face more and more out there increasing her chances of being recognised?
She is missing, but personally I think they know what happened that's what that is in reference too.
You should see the scorn they have been pouring on the portugese, some very nasty stuff just because they suspected them.
Came across as very suspect on their behalf.
We know what madeline looks like.
We don't need to know anything about the McCann's sex life, or failure of one.
And paid a very heavy price.
Alas, such a story will always generate interest from joe public, so they sell their story.
On the one hand, I don't blame them for that. I hardly think they chose this situation, however negligent they were back at the time in leaving their daughter.
It is a difficult one, and as a parent of a daughter myself, I can't imagine what their life must be like, no matter how much money they have "coined in"
I doubt its any compensation for their loss, well, I hope not!

The only thing i dislike about the way they carry on is the multitude of lawsuits they follow through on when others throw up innuendo in the press or in pubications.
I care not to comment on the situation, but thats just p'poor considering they do it themselfs rather a bit, stoping short of using the word constantly!
