The only problem is they would have shut up about it as soon as the story had died down.
If they are guilty of her accidental death or murder why keep bringing it up?
And I'm not accepting that keep bringing it up will make them look innocent.
Maybe if they stopped touting for sympathy and prostituting themselves in front of the media twice a year it wouldn't happen.
Keeping awareness going is one thing, what these neglegent parents are doing is something else entirely.
I'll wager if Maddie was found alive tomorrow, there would still be those who believed her parents had something to do with it!

If they are spending the proceeds of the book to support some kind of lavish lifestyle then I would find that a bit unsavoury , if it's genuinely to help fund searching for her then fair enough.
As for previously dipping into funds then tbh I would also use the funds for myself and family if it meant I didn't have to work and could devote all my time in the search for her.

I'm not going to comment on this, because unlike you guys I've never met them, or been close to the investigation into her disappearance in anyway.
Weird that so many people here know the McCanns so well, know the motivations behind their actions, and also know so much about the police investigation, shouldn't you lot be contacting the police if you know all of this?
Oh wait, you don't know anything about it except what you've seen on the telly, but you feel you can make these amazing insights into the whole mess. Why don't you just keep your noses out and stfu if what they do upsets you do much? Or, if you feel inclined, start your own investigation and prove your theories right or wrong. Idiots.

Maybe it wasn't accidental death after all...maybe they hated Maddie and had planned to murder her while on holiday with the excuse that she was abducted!
They probably also had a bath of acid arranged or had paid one of the locals to dispose of her body - therefore no body = no evidence and they got clean away with it!
Of course you can't fool some of the British population... they know what really happened!
We know them through their actions.
Instead of quietly going through the "normal" grieving process, they seem intent on displaying their grief and distress to the world through the tabloid media.
Your comments seem to be ignoring that fact that we are not seeking the McCann's out, they are seeking us out, and with that they are inviting comment.
If they weren't in the papers again this week (to publicise their book launch) would this thread exist?

What is their job now then, Do they actually work anymore or just wrote a book to fund their living now? 
Why would they grieve if they think she is still alive?
If I was in the same position I would do anything I could to keep public awareness and to keep funds coming in to help the search
that opinion is of course going on their word they had nothing to do with it
What are they doing that any other parent who had made such a grave error in looking after their children appropriately, which resulted in their daugher's disappearance, wouldn't?
They McCanns are on a loser no matter what they do... if they didn't spend all their time trying to find Maddie, they would be pillaried BUT, because they do use high profile methods to keep awareness going and fund their search, they still get it in he neck!

Well maybe just maybe they deserve it, there actions have no doubt led to the death of a young child

Going through a grieving process suggests she is dead!
How would you react if your small child suddenly disappeared one day with no body ever being found? Would you automatically assume she was dead and give up trying to find her?
Unless you have been in that situation, you can't possibly understand or appreciate just what it must feel like!
I know if it had been my child which disappeared, I would continue searching for the truth to my dying days and I'd never give up hope that she is still alive!
