Getting married at the end of July and would like some cigars for the reception for me and the grooms men.

Can anyone suggest a brand and a place to buy them from?

I like Romeo Y Julieta Petit Coronas and Romeo #3. Also Montecristo #5 and very occasionally a Montecristo #1 when I have the time (and the weather) to sit in the back garden and take my time over a smoke. And I get mine from Cgarsltd.co.uk

I'd also recommend that if you're just getting some for a wedding to get the tubed and order as close to the wedding as possible, if you don't have a humidor to store them in. Otherwise you'll end up with cigars that are too dry. Also, smoking a cigar takes time so consider the size as well since you won't be able to smoke indoors and will have to stand outside. Either in glorious sunshine or ****ing rain. So do you chance it with a cigar 5" 5/8+ or keep it short and sweet with a 4-5"?

I get mine from Simply Cigars, and I can recommend the Cohiba Siglo II as a very nice, smooth cigar :)

How do you find the pricing with SimplyCigars compared to the likes of CgarsLTD.co.uk in regards to what you smoke? When I was look for Montecristo No.5s they were £65 on CgarsLTD and £78 on SimplyCigars for a box of 10. And on SimplyCigars.co.uk, a box of 10 Montecristo No.4 are £101. They're £80 on Cgarsltd.co.uk

So depending on what you smoke it may be cheaper on CgarsLTD, and you can save yourself a few quid.

None, smoking is a dirty habbit! xD

None - smoking is a filthy habit.

Smoking a cigar is as far removed from smoking fags as drinking white lightning is from enjoying a fine malt. The Health risks of an occasional cigar are minimal and the smell a million times more enjoyable than a lambert and butler.

For the wedding I'd go with something reasonably priced and mild if you are not a regular smoker, also check with the misses as you will inevitably still taste of the thing many hours later which may not be a help when trying to seal the contract at the end of the day!

To be honest, I've not really looked elsewhere as I get good service from Simply Cigars. However, the next time I buy some, I will have a look on Cgarsltd.co.uk :).

I usually have a Romeo Y Juliet of a Christmas evening, once the dishes are done and it's time to settle in front of a movie with a nice single malt.

Enjoyable? They stink as much as cigarettes.

They are very enjoyable to some people, others may find that the millage varies like with all things in life. I'm also not surprised you don't like them given that you cannot apreciate the superior aroma of a fine cigar when compared to a nasty fag, thats like saying a nice bottle of Verve is the same as some asti from aldi!

I've bought from CigarOne before. Cheaper than from buying within the UK and they tend to slip through customs.
There are some cheaper Swiss based sellers but found this one is reliable and the cigars came within a week.

Example for Cohiba robustos x 3:
cigarone - ~£31
simplycigars - £59

Partagas man here - Cigar at the wedding is manditory IMO. If you're not a smoker go with something mild not full flavoured. Either a Montecristo or a Guantanamera should cover it.

Advice above is good.

The worst advice in this thread is recommending Cohibas, if you don't smoke cigars much/ever, you will regret it.
