IPHONE 3GS or HTC DESIRE or SAMSUNG GALAXY S

Could you guys help me out with this decicion please.
I'm looking to get a contract phone and feel the best deals I have found so far (around £20/month) are (bear in mind im not a big talker more email and texter)

Talkmobile
HTC Desire free -
300 inclusive minutes
1000 inclusive texts
Unlimited mobile internet data included
£18 / month for 24 months

OR

Talkmobile
Samsung Galaxy S free -
300 inclusive minutes
1000 inclusive texts
Unlimited mobile internet data included
£18 / month for 24 months

OR

Iphone 3GS free
100 minutes
500 texts
500mb data
£21.50 / month for 24 months

So which one would you choose - is the iphone any better than the other 2 to warrant the higher cost lower bundle ?
If not which of the other 2 would be the better phone ?

I'd choose the 3GS out of those 3, but you may want to see how much extra it is to get the ip4....

A lot extra, Like double almost

So would your 3GS choice be based on personal opinion ie you have one ?

In that case the 3GS will be ok, the screen and camera aren't quite as good as the IP4, but the 3GS is almost as fast and runs all the same apps and Apple are still supporting it.

For basic stuff like browsing, texting and emailing, there's not really much in it, but there are a lot more apps for the 3gs which does add lots of functionality to the phone.

If you want lots of apps and games, then the 3gs is the one to get, but if you don't then they're pretty much on par really.

I would avoid the 3GS - if only because if past Apple performance is to be reviewed it is likely you will stop getting updates fairly soon.

Desire

Better built than the Samsung. I hate the iPhone, it's so basic. Just with the web browser they have to take up screen space to provide a back button as the phone only has one.

I test phones at work and used them all.

ok I see got to be honest Games and apps arent that important to me. I want good internet browsing good email functionality and a snappy smooth handset

Must say I was swaying toward the Desire purely after seeing a guy at work has one and has had zero issues with it too

In that case then there's not really much point in paying extra for the 3GS. I choose the Desire over the Galaxy also, as I know a couple of people who have had problems with their Galaxy S'.

I've decided to go for the Galaxy S 2.

At one point I wanted the Iphone... Then I came to my senses and realised that there are many phones out there which have the same feats as the iphone for much cheaper.

I also thought about the HTC. Great phone. In the end it came down to the HTC and Sammy. I chose the sammy because its new kid on the block!

very much so it's very cutting edge - best screen and processor/ram etc. Is blazingly fast and there are some very good deals around.

If you can wait until '3 network' release this phone you can get unlimited data to.

I've owned both the 3GS and Desire and for 95% of the time the Desire is much, much better... its a cheep iPhone 4 alternative.

However the SGS2 is a completly new generation, you'd be mad not to get one on decent contract.

(If you must have Apple wait a few months for the new one/price drop on the 4th gen)

Galaxy S, sure it might be made of plastic, but mine is wearing well, and you just cant appreciate the screen until you've seen it side by side with a Desire or 3GS.

The screen on the 3GS is frankly, shockingly bad in comparison!

But really,try and get the SGS2!

Get a Galaxy S II. Its miles ahead of all 3 of these phones and you'll be futureproofed

I have close friends with all those phones and now thy are all jealous of my sgs2

if u have to gt any of them go for the sgs. its the best all round.
