BFBC2 - Still worth a purchase?

Hi there guys, is this still worth a purchase on Xbox? Is it still played widely?
I have it on PC and enjoy it but my computer isn't really up to the task of running it nicely graphics wise.
I am fed up of call of duty, very bored and would like a change.
Also, I have heard about the Vietnam expansion pack, what does this add and is it worth purchasing?
EDIT: Looking around there seems to be an "ultimate edition" although this seems to be hardly in stock anywhere..

Yup, still loads of folk online.

I'd recommend getting the additional BF:BC2 "VIP" maps as well as because these were released at a later date you'll see people playing them a bit more.

Veitnam expansion pack is exactly what it says on the tin. New levels, weapons and vehicles set in Veitnam.

It doesn't get added to the map cycle of a regular MP session though. When you start the game it gives you the additonal option on top of "Single Player", "Multi Player" or "Vietnam". In addition the Veitnam expansion is MP only.
 
Love it still play it. Servers are busy on 360. Personally love Vietnam although there are one or two maps with bad choke points which some moan about but I don't mind that so much I just dish out more spam.

Lots of life left in this game yet I think...until BF3 and possibly beyond.
 
I was genuinely about to make this thread a couple of hours ago!

Might nip out and see if I can get it pre-owned, I want to get something new to play today, and I was going to get Brink, but I think the reviews have put me off it.

I think you need a multiplayer code for BFBC2, pre-owned it would almost certainly have been entered already, so it might be worth just getting it from Amazon or similar. :)

Think BC2 came out before that was introduced however, still make sure you buy it new as you get access to all the VIP map packs which you have to pay for seperately and for the extra few £ its worth having it otherwise you will get kicked from a lot of games.
 
Yes. I love it, especially the Vietnam expansion. Actually play this more than the main game :cool:

Although not played much recently. Currently renting AC Brotherhood and trying to get that finished!

Bought it yesterday, loving it so far. Very wierd coming from Cod but already I'm doing quite well and coming in the top 3 at times! :)
Think that Vietnam expansion will need to be purchased shortly.
 
Yeah still worth the purchase. Cant tell you about player count but on the p3 can still find plenty of players. I presume xbox will be very similar. Only thing I wouldnt buy is onslaught mode, nam etc is well worth the purchase though.

Loving the Vietnam add on just started playing that, makes a nice change !
