spec me games that run well on a pentium 4 system

SPECS:
Pentium 4 - 3 GHz + HT
1 GB RAM DDR2
7300 GS
250 GB HDD
connected to 32" LCD TV (VGA)

am using it mainly as a media centre for movies but would also like to see what i can run on it game wise too

so far i have installed:

killing floor (medium settings)
Flatout ultimate carnage (EDIT: Didn't work (5 fps at all settings))
GTA:SA + MTA mod (will run ok on 'very high' but have turned down to medium for MTA on busy race server)

Anything before about 4 years ago.

Decent games, Unreal Tourny, Diablo 2, Uplink, Monkey Island and Broken Sword games to name a few.

wow! didn't know people still got p4 for gaming.

I still have my p4 pc for emergencies at 3.2ghz x800gto and it can still play some new games but at lowest/medium. Last time I tried it could play league of legends and starcraft 2 fine

ah Diablo 2 was fun back in its day, think i started playing that on my pentium 2 and its stayed with me on every pc i have ever had since so i have pretty much played it to DEATH!

but i can't seem to remember what games i played on my p4 when i had it as a main pc, it was my first ever 'modern gaming rig' the rest i used before that were all 'behind the times' when i got them :)

Your graphics card is more of a limitation. The Geforce 7300GS isn't that great, it struggled with games of it's time, never mind 2011 titles.

I'd suggest anything pre-2007, you'll have a hard time running newer games at anything that doesn't look like a pixelated mess.

Most Source games will run fine at Low on your card. That includes some of the newest things as well, I think you're _JUST_ shy of being able to run Portal 2! (it needs a 7600 compared to your 7300 iirc)
But apart from Valve stuff this also includes gems like Bloodlines and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
Morrowind, as someone said, will also run beautifully, plus any PS2/Xbox games ported to PC (eg the 3 Prince of Persia games before the recent reboot, Beyond Good and Evil, stuff like that). It was a bit of a golden age for PC gaming that, cause the current gen of consoles hadn't come out yet, and the PC was so far ahead in power that console games could be ported with ease, but all the best, most original and best-looking stuff were PC exclusives. (Sort of like the last year or so - we're getting to that point again where the PC has surged so far ahead of the current TV-toyboxes that we get the best of all worlds!)

And of course there are TONNES of even older stuff that your PC would chew up and spit out with ease. Just go on GOG.com and go wild!

I think you would be far better off looking for games you want to play and then seeing if you can play them or not. Be prepared to exclude most modern games if you want to run them on decent settings though. Many games simply won't run at all.

ok Flatout ultimate carnage didn't work got 5 fps on all settings!
checked the specs it needs a 7600! seems thats a 7600 or higher would make a huge change to this pc

spec me a really cheap card thats beats the 7300!!! (prefer Nvidia but im ok with ATI/AMD)
