Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

Can we change our passwords now on Sony's website in preparation of PSN coming back online or do we have to wait and be prompted to do so on PSN?
 
I was assuming you were entering details then hitting the "go go login" button, my bad.
Welp.. perhaps interwebs browser signing in is not a priority.. or we just have to wait another week and they're stringing us along.

I thought that, but It might be the same web service PSN uses, to access content etc.

Time will tell i suppose :)

we have introduced a safety measure which means you will need to update your PlayStation Network account password before you can start using PSN again.

If you've got a PlayStation 3, you can do this by updating to system software version 3.61 and then signing in to PlayStation Network from the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) Menu. Find out more at eu.playstation.com/ps3/support/system-software.

Otherwise, you can change your password by visiting https://store.playstation.com/login.gvm on your PC. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes and if you'd like more help you can follow the step by step guide at eu.playstation.com/psppsn.

Keep in mind the time difference... between the US and England. Maybe we'll see it up and running soon, as they work at it.

It's 4am in California I believe now, So when this was announced it was still the middle of a busy shift I'm sure

american market is a bigger priority for sony i would think, and more volatile.

the UK is always rated as a second class citizen in these types of matter. even though we pay more for the console and usually get inferior products and services.

look at the psn store for example, Americans get much better updates at cheaper prices.

I actually dont think it'll be till tomorrow :p

I can imagine Japan and US will be up and running, and then europe will follow, with us being last.

but then again, I didnt win the lottery last night, So my guessing isnt upto scratch at the minute. ^^ Proof would be there that i suck at guessing
