SwishSpencor - I'm really distracted by the window frame (?) on the left. Also, I'm not sure if this was meant but the lighting/shadowing behind the girl isn't quite central. If that was centrally behind her, it would definitely add to the photo :)

I get the idea, I just think it needs some polish :)

I'm just starting out in this world and bought a Canon 550D. I plan on actually investing time into photography, and not just buying the camera just for the sake of having one.

Are there any free tools to make panoramas on a Mac?

I see what you mean, if i asked her to move to my right a step it would have come out a lot better.

I was too focused on the subject than the background :o
Ah well practice makes perfect. Thanks for the input.

I'm sorry, I find the first two just look like snapshots. The third, I get. I love the idea and I specially like repetition and symmetry in photos, but I think this photo is lacking something. Not 100% sure what would add to your photo but you nailed the idea!!

They were all snapshots :) I was just trying to get my head around the exposure and all the different settings (I still am actually). I think my brother is still underdone in the first one after trying to fix it in Lightroom.

I think I would like the third one better if I could get square on and proper cropping but there are things in the way.

He's slightly underdone, but the sky is overdone, so be careful :)

Also, I like the whole angle thing that you've got going on. Straight on would give you a good shot, yes, but I'd stick with the angle and try out what you originally set out to do :)
