****Official L.A Noire thread****

I really don't mind changing disks. In fact I get a little excited, like when you got to a disk change in Final Fantasy or Metal Gear, I feel a childish sense of achievement. I'm probably alone on this.... I'll leave now

Changing disks on MGS was exciting! :D

It lost a bit of the magic when I played it on PSP and had to "switch disks" though. The same when Colonel told me Meryl's frequency was on the back of the CD box, and I spent forever looking for this CD in game, only to find out that he meant the ACTUAL game box. :D + :(

But yeah to keep it on topic I don't think changing disks is that big a deal, sure it's 2011 and we shouldn't have to do that sort of thing anymore, but with the 360 relying on DVD's there's not much that can be done about that. Lucky PS3 players. :p

Anyone know if this is free roam like GTA or free roam like Mafia 2?

Really excited for this game, can't wait to play it. Been avoiding all the reviews/previews as I want to experience it all first hand!

Nope it's not free roam, I think it's more like the original Mafia in that you move about the city but not in a totally free way.

I'm not getting this until i see a gameplay video.

I notice that EVERYONE is jumping on the wagon with only seeing these trailers they have released of no real gameplay.

You're right, those driving physics do look rather clunky. I really liked GTA4's, bit harder to master but it had a great feel to it once you did.

Had a change of heart and preordered with GAME instead for the DLC and hopefully a Thursday delivery. I'm as excited as a 12yr old for this!
