I thought hangovers were supposed to get worse the older you get? I am 26 now and dont have anywhere near as bad hangover as when I was 18

Over the past 3 years I have been eating more healthily and doing more exercise. I joined the gym on 1st March and have been almost 40 times, doing cardio and light weights.

I went out last sat and drank an aweful lot, passed out in a club and somehow got home. I was up at 9am, felt a bit hungover so had some water and food and was fine. I then went to town for a few hours shopping. This would have never happened 8 years ago

Is it my liver / kidneys getting fitter or is it they have been knackered by years of alcohol abuse so now im more 'immune'?

1. Did you update to latest patch?

2. Are you playing with anti aliasing enabled?

3. Why is this in pc games forum.

Your liver is now immune. You can drink a litre of vodka with no side effects.

btw, having to drink more to get drunk just means you're becoming alcholic.

Thats the thing, I can drink less than a few years ago. Be really drunk but then have no (or not much) of a hangover.

Depends what you ate while drinking. Eating lots of creasy/fatty foods gives you a nice coat of crease round your stomach lining that slows the absorption of alcohol into the blood. Also depends if you mixed your drinks or not. Its always best to get drunk on one type of drink to avoid a major hangover.

Avoid drinks with lots of sugar like ciders. They give you a bad hangover. Clear spirits like vodka(high quality vodka not cheap nasty stuff) give you least hangover/headaches because it has less toxins... but then again, depends how much you drank.

and if you want the worst hangover of your life, try tequila...

It depends on what you've eaten on the day, your metabolism could be bolstered up owing to your healthier lifestyle, your body mass may have increased - I know that having gained 2-3st and being relatively healthy my tolerance and metabolism of alcohol has improved. You may have hydrated yourself more, or you may just not have drunk as much or as many different types of alcohols.

I'd consider myself very fit and I get savage hangovers.

A normal night out is fine just a bit tired... but those ones where you probably drink 40+ units... eurghhh

Hangovers have definitely got worse with age for me.
As a student I could drink 12 pints and get up for a 9 o'clock lecture the next day no problem.
These days I can wake up with a stinking hangover having only had 4 pints sometimes.

I do drink quite a bit less than I did as a student these days so I'm probably not used to the heavy nights quite so much, but I'm sure age is a factor too.
