Hi,

Passed car test back in September(ish) last year, sold the motorbike and bought a Focus 1.6, been bored to hell ever since.
So, whilst considering changing back to a bike (I cant own both) just thought Id try give car driving a second chance with another car...maybe.

So, what out there is a cheapish (3k max) fun car that will not bore me to death in minutes.
Will be used for everything (commuting, general a-to-b etc) so need some practicality.
If it helps, Im 25 with 0 ncb till August.

Thanks for any help.

mx5 if you like the twisties, going topless and you don't need the room.
cliosport if straight line matters more to you and you have more than one friend.

Toyota Corolla 1.6 SR just to be different from the lemming brigade :p

They are FWD, short ratio 6 speed box, VVTI 138BHP engine (chain driven) sports suspension etc

Fun cars, i'm after one if I have to sell my T-Sport. Speaking of which, you can pick early T-Sports up for around £3k now, you might get lucky

172 ph1, dont even need to spend £2k now to get a good one either
spend £500 on some mods for it and make it even better :)

172/182
306 GTI-6/Rallye
205 GTI
106 GTI/Rallye

Might be able to insure the 205 GTI as a classic, which would be beneficial if you have 0 ncb, depends what your quotes are like, but a 172 or GTI-6 might be steep.
