Castle. Coming to the UK when?

Its not even close to awesome, the main guy, as in almost everything he does, is pretty damn good, most of the other people in the show are average at best, the daughter makes me cringe every time she speaks. Its got some funny moments, but its not in the same league as things like Firefly, distinctly average show.

Granted Nathan Fillion makes the show... but its some light hearted fun - great distraction for the end of a hard day. Agreed its not even close to the same league as firefly but I would rate it above average just because it doesn't take itself too seriously.

I think the daughter is fantastic, one of the least annoying child actors I've seen, and the relationship between Fillion and the Beckett is really good.

To be honest I have not read a full novel since high school and bought it as I got a 6 quid amazon voucher if its good will let you know but dont expect a reply for a few weeks :p

just to update a good few chapters in and its awesome so much I cant wait for the next. Worth a buy deffo.

nice advert, I still can't believe how enjoyable this show is, I basically only watched it to have more Nathan on my screen, so happy he's got the leading role in a successful show, he really deserves it :)

Yup it's great to see him get what he's deserved after Firefly - this has so many little nods to that and other shows it's great :D

Also great to see it's been renewed for a 3rd season so the UK has plenty to look forward to over the coming years!

I was going to start a new thread but rather not when one is available:

Anyone watch it?

Jesus H. Christ how fit is Beckkett? (aka Stana Katic)

I caught up quickly recently and just watched the 3rd season finale and...

Bring on the 4th season, I need to see what happens next! :(

Season 3 finale was, put simply, mind blowing, especially considering everything leading up to it and the general light hearted nature of the show. Was thinking all the way, "**** just got serious!"

That said, as amazing as this finale was, I fear that it might change the direction of show, especially the all important comedy element, which is pretty much the main thing that separates it from sea of cop shows out there. I just hope they don't get too carried away with the main storyline because the comedy is what got me hooked in the first place. Plus Nathan Fillion is at his best when he is being silly, something which I imagine will be harder for him to get away with in Season 4 after what just happened.

Also, Stana Katic .... :eek::eek::eek:

OK, now I loved the first season, but I'm halfway through season 2 and am getting a bit bored. No story arc as yet, each episode is neatly compartmentalised and follows the same structure every time, the last 3 episodes saw me correctly guess the killer the first time they appear on screen. :(

Is it worth persevering with? I've been spoilt by story arcs the likes of Dexter/BSG.

Really enjoyed this, the season 3 finale was top notch, i didn't see it coming.

But i think the comedy should stay though, it's what got be watching the show in the first place, and as others have said, it's where Nathan Fillion/Castle is at his best.

I don't usually watch crime shows, like the mind numbing CSI, they're so dull and boring in comparison, but Caslte was/is different. I hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot by going to far down serious lane, there may be no coming back.

Agree that the actress who plays Alexis is probably one of the least annoying child actors i've seen in recent shows, certainly more enjoyable to watch than the teen angst seen in the likes of V (funny that was cancelled).

You wanna try watching Bones! I think Castle is different and the writer said he always intends the finale scene to be between Castle & Beckkett (for the most part). The will they / wont they will not drag on like Bones is. Season 3 does centre on the killing of her mother but there are some great episodes too like a bomb threat that spands over 3 episodes I think.
