COD 4 PC - Which version?

I do somewhat remember there being a number of servers running older versions of the game, I'm not entirely sure why, but I always used 1.7

Play promod - it introduces you to a brand new way of playing call of duty 4. Here is a great instructional video of a friend of mine and very good player with an introduction to promod how to play and little tips :)

 
I get 12k + servers with 1.7, got the steam version. Pro mod is good but I prefer hardcore because it's less work. :p

Many many differences. The game has been re-vamped to be actaully "good" in the sense that the bad parts are gone (claymores, tubes) so forth. You can apply film tweaks. Environmental atmosphere is gone. No bobbing when running, no swaying of guns when iron sighting. Class's are set differently so you can pick your weapon. Loads changed and is 100% better

was on esuba last night with a few nabs lagging hard ping was like 110 damn server ftl can only play on them for like a round or two at most now though havent got the concentration :(

also people grabbing configs here and there i would check them first before you use a lot of people are getting banned even pro noobs rofl !

I always have 7k+ servers.. I always seem to pick Broadcast TDM, don't like any other map all that much :P

Edit: Meant to say I'm running 1.7

Sundance, check out phantasy's channel, the guy who made that tutorial. Done the same for Strike and Citystreets as well AFAIK.

Do you think when the Dev's design these maps they have this in mind....?

if your on about strafe jumping a lot are bugs and such what people search for some of my mates in codjumpers and so on practice these jumps for years .

i used to do a bit and can do most reasonable ones easy the heli bounce he does is quite tricky though he doesnt go fully on the roof but that wouldnt be legal in a game anyway :p

legal strafe jumping is quite a big deal can buy you vital seconds.

just want 125 or 250 fps 333 is easiest but you cant use that legally :D in promod any higher than 250 your screen goes funny and you get a buzzing noise.

you should check out elevator glitches so funny playing pub some guy on crash just flys straight into sky rofl !

1.7 is the latest patch, but when you patch up, make sure that you have completed all patches just to be on the safe side, dont just install patch 1.7 or nothing will come up.

As Liam has stated play PRO MOD, it is the best mod out there tbh.

Google TEK9 forums for all servers that play PRO MOD.
