If you have Super Street Fighter IV already then £15 is reasonable, but as you won't have that on PC £30 is a fine price. You're getting an almost entirely new game over standard Street Fighter IV.

Arcade edition runs on a Windows XP machine. It's not a console port.

Same with standard Street Fighter IV. That also had a load of options for graphics and was extremely well optimised.

As soon as arcade edition was announced it was obvious it was gonna hit PC.

Yes - my post was a tongue in cheek comment about Raven's usual moaning of all PC games being console ports.

The Steam version would be convenient, but you could also wait for the retail disc version since like the original SFIV, it will use Games For Windows Live service and most likely cost less. The retail version of SFIV when it first came out was £17 or less depending on where you would get it.

Paid £17.99 for mine on release so I expect it to be the same with this version.

Its not hard to find this £17.95 for a retail PC-DVD version in the UK which will not require the DVD in the drive either after install & registration of the serial number!

A) It's on PC
B) Read the Steam page? It tells all.

The main point is that PC finally gets the updated SFIV, you're getting a lot of content over vanilla.

How large is the playerbase (guestimation) compared to consoles?

Wondering the same about player base really.

Been wanting to get into a new SF for a while. I have the last one but just couldn't put enough time into it and got constantly owned.

I have SF4 on PC, and at first you could always get a game. Within a yr of its release though, it had dried up.

It did look sharp mind ! I'll be getting this on the PC too. It is also coming out on the consoles as a DL add-on, I believe. Could be wrong. I spent all of 5mins reading up on it.

+1 for this although the PC version of SF4 just didnt feel right to me. Felt kinda laggy and slow.

I would like it but ive bought SF and SSF so will wait for a steam sale I think.
