I currently use a Benq FP241W which was pretty high end as I understand it.

But I now want a 16:9 instead of a 16:10 screen, around 22-24", excellent colour and IQ over response rate.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Realistically you're gonna want a Dell U2311H, which at £230 is very good value. It's 1080p, 23", IPS and has fantastic image quality. The 8ms response time is a little prone to ghosting, but you're going to get that unless you go TN film, and the Dell is brilliant.

Plus, Ultrasharps come with a next day swapout guarantee for 3 years if there's anything wrong with the screen.

Thanks man, I'll check it out.

+1 for the Dell U2311H

Its an E-IPS monitor with great image quality, but also it's responsive enough (due to a well implemented RTC impluse) to handle games well. Here is an in-depth review.

We need more info IMO.

It depends on the game type. For fast paced first person shooters (FPS) you need 120Hz panel with fast response and low lag for best performance. BUT FPS are the only games where it really important IMO.

I'd not buy a slower, but higher image quality IPS (or similar) panel for FPS. But if you don't play them much then don't worry!

Edit: Ignore me! Just re-read and your after IQ and not response! doh.

And another +1 for the Dell U2311H, got mine today to replace an old Hyundai 19" and the difference is immense in comparison.
