****Official L.A Noire thread****

had to lol yesterday as i was questioning one of guys from heroes tv show on one of the cases
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0342399/ this guy :)

It is amazing how alike they ingame character is isn't it...

I haven't bothered to play much more after being promoted to homicide... Cases are just repetitive...

Will force my self to complete it during the week sometime. Playing Dirt 3 instead at the moment.

 on the Red Lipstick Murder case and it will not let me fight the husband, took the disc out, powered down the console, what ever I do it just wont respond to any of the buttons WTF?

So is this any good then - worth getting? I cant see it holding value like other Rockstar games have done in the past...

ps3ud0

Im on the Vice missions now, i dont see how people can say the cases are repetitive.

Me either.

@ The person who asked if they should get this. Yes :p

Amazing from start to finish imho, Rockstar don't make / publish bad games this is no exception.

I have to say I love it, ive only played a few hours but it reminds me of two of my all time favorite games - Fahrenheit and Blade Runner, nothing ever came close to those for true detective style adventures and this follows suit. The repetition I can see becoming a little grating (ive done 3 missions on the way to missions and all have ended with me chasing someone and shooting them while they hold a hostage), im hoping this is not how every one of the 40 of those is going to end.

The open world part of this game is just terrible. Almost wish they didn't have it. It serves no purpose apart from doing the street crimes.

The detail in the game is awesome but theres nothing to do in the open world part.

Theres a lot of chases in this game. I've played a good 5 hours its there a lot of chases. Good thing they're all really good.

It's actually quite linear, and in that respect, it makes it nothing like GTA (I know you didn't compare it to it but I'm just saying).

Why do people expect a world like GTA's? These games really only share the publishers name.

I like that its not GTA. I like how they went for something different. I am just saying, the open world part is really dull. Thats all. I almost wish it just went straight to the crime scene from the police station.

Just got hit with the same problem again this time when responding to a street crime

It doesn't feel "dull" it's stunning to walk about in and watch the virtual world go by.

I think the city doesn't have as much to do as say, Liberty City in GTA IV but... they're really different games aren't they? GTA is an open sandbox world but with a storyline chucked in.

This is a murder mystery game with a story line based in a city?

I don't understand why people are complaining about this, or comparing them.

Indeed as mentioned above :p the lack of open world and murdering of prostitutes really let down their table tennis game.

You holding LT? You need to do that...

Yep, nothing responds :(

Best I could find online about it was Here but after it happening again on a street crime I'm now worried it's going to be something I'm going to have a problem for the rest of the game! It was fine up until the Lipstick Murder case :/
