It winds me up sooooooo much. I know its all about ratings (which are one of the most inaccurate measurement around by the way) and money talks blah blah

but its so frustrating when you invest time watching these shows only for them to be culled without an ending!

Why cant they film an two ending or if a show ends all parties agree before hand in all the contracts that they will wrap it up in a two hour special like they did in the end with Jericho (mainly through fan power)

'V' & now 'the Event' confirmed as cancelled, both i guess are not great but its time with no real ending, 'The Unit' 'Flash Fwd' was another as was Heroes in a way, but i guess it was semi ended,

I really liked both as well as sg universe.
I wish when they cancelled shows they would do one more series and wrap the story up, it is so utterly frustrating. It would be like reading a book and finding out the last 5 chapters are missing.
American tv policies suck.

The Unit was an epic series which was cut way too short. I enjoy V and most of the others which get axed before their time.

Stupid Americans!

Some shows put the unaired episodes online which seems like a good compromise but not every show does this. Oh and it also requires the episodes to have been filmed before the show being cancelled of course.

its the whole ending a season on a chiffhanger and then it does not ever return.

surely just a 90min wrap up would be fair for makers, actors and viewers

I was really annoyed when Universe was cancelled, especially since Atlantis was essentially cancelled to make room for it leaving both shows unresolved. Universe was very good at the end as well making it even more of a shame.

Couldn't care less about The Event, it's pretty awful, I gave up watching it whenever the vice president was nearly blown up.

well Universe & Atlantis were utter tosh, but my point is not the show, its about investing time and then not having an ending

It gets pretty sickening when shows arent allowed to get into their stride, in this current climate im sure StarTrek TNG would have lasted two seasons only. Another show that could have been great was Defying mavity, the network didnt even bother showing the whole series, just stopped with four episodes left, some canadian network showed the rest so i had to dl them to see how it ended

At least they're showing most things up to the end of the season now, anybody remember the ending of Las Vagas? 2/3rds of the way through the season and "stop", end of.

Personally i'm still waiting for season 2 of Firefly.

Atlantis was on par or better than most of the SG1 rubbish that came along in later seasons. Universe really picked up in the last half of the second season so could have been great if it carried on that way.

I agree about theym not investing in an ending though. That's utter tosh!

They wrapped Firefly up in a movie called Serenity, well worth checking out

Firefly might have had a follow up but that show had so much potential and BAM fox binned it. Even the CEO at the time now admits it was wrong to do so.

Arsebuckets! :mad::(

yes its quite annoying that you sit down and watch a program then it gets canceled and you have unresolved storylines. As others have said atleast make an ending and release it on dvd or something better than nothing.
