One track with 5 variations is still the same track, you get six locations with like one to two different tracks, that's pitiful, add in how short the stages and you got one very short lived single player experience, Dirt 2 certainly lasted longer than 3.

Downloading now, got a good price from a fellow OcUK'er who didn't want the code. I will try and have a bash on the G27 later and see what I think. Because you all care what I think, right? :D

As for online, it's probably a laugh, but I never ventured there with DiRT 2 much, only a race or two with people I know aren't smashers (which was a lot of fun). I used to race GRID online loads and was very good, but got really frustrated with all the people who just crash at the start, drive backwards or sit on the apex.

^^ Same tracks just with different roots, the same old loactions grate after a while. Check out the locations folder in the games directory to see how little content there is.
 
Yes raven, i understand, but I used to replay Dirt 1 using different cars, different levels, set up, Not forgetting time trials. etc, so making the game "last longer" i guess.:confused:

Downloadable content then? No mention yet is there? CM must be busy trying to rush out the next F1 game before the season's out though.

You can complain, but I have to say that some of the best racing games involved the same tracks backwards and in different configs. Like Gran Turismo 3 for example, though that had more tracks, there isn't a new version as often as DiRT. It must be a difficult thing to balance for the devs. I'd like to see a full on RBR style sim with the same visuals, don't think that'll ever happen though. Man, RBR is good when you hook it up right.
 
anybody have graphics problems with the game very white - like the hdr or bloom is ultra high?

i started in safe mode and was fine, adjusted my graphics options to ultra, still fine.
closed and started the game as normal, still fine.
then today, started the game again - back to the weird graphics!
 
Maybe the gamma setting is wrong? Check the game and drivers etc. I don't have a nvidia card anymore, can't really help beyond the obvious. Mine is downloading via steam now, on 33% but darn VM traffic shaping or whatever has limited me to 270 kbps after downloading just 20% of the game. What a joke, it's going to take hours and hours now. I hate VM. I know this practise is common, but they really annoy me and I'm looking forward to telling them to stick it next month.

Works perfect, no huge download for me lol
