Had a few crazy rounds where for some reason my ping was fluctuating like a mother. Reset the router, ping tested, disabled the wireless so it was just me on the connection, all seemed perfect.. Then whenever I went to shoot anyone they started teleporting and I couldn't hit anything. Other times I'd empty a whole 12 round USAS clip with hit crosses coming up, nothing! Very odd.

Still, sorted itself out in the end and went on a good little run. Since I ditched medic and started playing Engi and Assault my K/d is starting to return to a reasonable level.. Will probably take me a while to get it back above 1 though due to all that time wasting away with flappy paddles! :D

Also no idea why I didn't discover C4 earlier. It's easily the funniest thing in the game. The possibilities are endless!

best one I've found is if you're against a team or squad whose just always medic spamming and constantly reviving everyone is to kill someone throw c4 on their corpse then watch fro ma little distance and blow the medic up as he approaches :p


if you get good on the timing you can do it after they've revived and spawn protection has worn off.


but a lot of the time the medic runs off before the re spawned guy has moved and blown his spawn protection so it's best not to be greedy and go for him before the revive :p

Haha I've not tried that one yet, I'l have to give it a whirl. TBH I see more engineers than anything these days, not had to deal with medic spam in a while. Had a brilliant moment during a conquest game. Had a base stolen, as I was running in to recapture I caught sight of the guys helmet through a window. Just C4'd up all 4 walls from the outside and blew the **** out of it. Completely unnecessary but hilarious, even he laughed.

Still few things that beat blowing up a full health tank with two occupants though. Nice big explosion followed by plenty of points, and often a lot of swearing in the chat. Perfect :D

if there are people camping up stairs or in roofs you can bring down the 2 or 3 story (3 inc attic) buildings in one go with just 3 ex mk2 c4, good thing about only needing three is you can keep lightweight.


Always fun running in c4ing a house runout then boom "errrrrrk collapse"

Just had my favourite kill. I was defending on oasis rush and had the assault rifle shotgun equipped. An attacker approached on a quad bike, saw me and headed in my direction to run me over. I stood perfdctly still, facing him as he approached, waited until he was point blank range than fired and jumped over the quad bike as it passed ownerless underneath.

I wont foget that one in a hurry, the other fella was convinced that he would get me too!

I try thisd but always end up getting mowed down as well :p
 
lol hold down E as it cruises towards u and carry on driving :)

EDIT: actually does that work or does it remain an "enemy" vehicle that u cant get in/on for a couple of seconds?

It's remains enemy for a few seconds.

I've killed tanks a few seconds after they've bailed out and still got enemy vehicle destroy points

Haha yup :D I don't use the explosive add-on with C4 though as I use the shotgun upgrade instead. Assault + USAS12 + Slug/SG UPGR + C4. I don't find like that there's a whole lot I can't deal with. You can even pick off snipers with a couple of good headshots. When I squad up with my mate who's a medic it's a pretty potent duo running around vehicle heavy maps.

Yeah seeing a lot of UMP around. It's a good gun but I don't find it particularly overpowered as such. I don't really see much difference in many of the Engi weapons if I'm honest, they can all kill things scarily quickly at close range and they all seem pretty accurate.
 
Any one else getting texture flickering in the desert based maps using the cat 11.5 drivers?

Particulalry Atacama desert and flames... although I have and still do see flashing lights in the distance on some maps.

Also how do you fly the uav? I cant even lift of the ground with the thing.

R for up, F for down I think. Then its the normal WASD. Not 100% sure as I don't use it often.

I've had no experience with the Cat drivers but I get the same sometimes with NVIDIA. But I think it happens more often for me when the temps get higher.
 
Right what could be causing severe ping issues client side? It's not my connection, I have two separate ones and they both pass ping test with flying colours. But in game on any server I've tried everyone is teleporting like crazy. Just then I couldn't get on a quad bike after umpteen efforts and eventually I was shot, but I only knew I was shot about 5 seconds after it happened.

What the **** is going on? :)
