will be keeping it till it falls apart. Will buy something else then drop a bigger engine in and turn it into a track toy is the plan

i'd have still had it now but it was uneconomical to repair. this pic was taken nearly 2 yrs ago. about 10k miles later, it failed its MOT on emissions, just couldn't get them down and it would've cost about what the car was worth to put it right :/ got £1k for it in p/x for a lupo from a main dealer

Maybe 6 more months, probably less.

Get rid asap. Need a hatch of some kind, would be happy with another focus (possibly an estate) but finding one that is worth travelling to see is hard.
As much as people hate them here, I test drove a golf V5 a couple of weeks ago and liked it, so that's a possible also.

As long as possible, it's 'beefed up' to a reasonable 150bhp so shifts quite well. Tried to replace it last year, but can't find anything that combines the economy with the handling.

Drive shaft when we first got it at about 97k and a track rod end. Cam belt was done at 80k. Otherwise, nothing else by the look of the service history!

N/a. I can't answer that question :D we've had it way past its sell-by date and I keep saying I'll send it to the scrapman but it just keeps going on and on. It'll go as soon as we've bought another car :(

Shocks, Spings, Rad, Hood, Front wheel bearings, Drop link bushes, Disks and Pads, Exhaust, Sills.

The only thing which needed to be done was the drivers side bearing, one sill and the rear pads, the rest was for peace of mind/enjoyment.

Clutch and Cambelt are due in the next 12-18 months.

Until it dies/I can afford a Cayman.
