After a 60Gb SSD

Hi all,

I've been thinking of getting an SSD for a while and thought I'd treat myself. I'm on a SATA-II motherboard so I was thinking of getting the Vertex2E. Recently however I've been put off due to all the problems a lot of them seem to be having :(.

Is there a decent, reliable 60GB SSD that would suit or would I be better off waiting for a bit?

The only other I could think of was the M4, but that would obviously be limited by my current motherboard.

Quick noob question: If the crucial writes at 95mb/s, what does an average HDD write at?

Thanks for your advice

Hi,

OC dont have this for sale but, Corsair 60GB Force F60A SSD 2.5" SATA-II Read = 280MB/s, Write = 270MB/s 50,000 IOPS

Has very good reviews, I think I will get this for my next my next boot drive.

Sale price is £89.99

Rather worried about the concerns in the Force 3 thread though :S. If the F60A uses SandForce too is it also just as prone to the same problems?

Thanks

I agree, there are many fantastic reviews and now it seems like the Sandforce, same as OCZ are having issues. Yellowbeard is on the case and keeping us updated HERE. I would wait a while to see what happens with the new Sandforce drives.
