**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Turned up to catch the last game of the 3rd place playoffs. Time for a best of 7, should be good. I can't sleep anyway :3
 
I don't even play Starcraft(I'm bad) and this MLG tourney is ridiculous, so well done and such intense game play.

Such a well run tourney, hope Dreamhack is as good.
 
Great finals with a massive crowd.
Also lots of people were watching and commenting online.
The longest Teamliquid thread in history has been on this event with ~27000 replies and 2 million views in 14 hours.
 
Can someone please explain what happened when it got down to the last 4 players of Idra/MC/MMA/Lacerias(forget the name so a guess :p)

Especially the final, I thought MMA went in 1-0 up and was a bo3 unless Lac won the first match but I didn't see him win one ;o. /confused and tired. Thoroughly entertaining and Idra is an idiot.
 
idra lost heavily to MC who completely outclassed him. I wouldnt neccessarily say MC was the better player just that Idra was clearly suffering from rage syndrome given there history, also his **** up earlier in the day probably didnt help his confidence. (where he GG'd when he had a match perfectly won)

MMA destroyed Losira in the final 4-1.

I have a lot more respect for Tyler though after this tourney, hes a really smart player even though he didnt go far...i always used to think he was a bit of a noob much like HuK but hes actually a sound guy.

a lot of zerg in the top 10 though....questions are already being asked - patch incoming!!!!


in other news, i played a T the other day that went mass viking, raven and banshee. I shouldnt of let it get that way (he seiged/turrented up so i thought he was massing a ground army) but never seen that before - he completely rolled my P army :( interesting and quite clever though when you think about it. vikings to stop colossus, raven to stop stalkers and banshees to kick ass....very clever.

will upload the replay tonight for those that care.

Everytime MLG comes it makes me want to play sc2 but god I'm ass and stuck in bronze :p.

MC and Idra both seem like complete tools.
 
Well it's been a while and it looks like MLG and a brand new rig has re-kindled my love for this game :)

Enjoyed watching IdrA get creamed over and over by MC.
Such a good player but as soon as he gets the tinyest bit annoyed he plays like a mindless low-diamind level player. IdrA/MC game 4 was quite a nice one but IdrA's poor unit control really hurt him, no flanking AT ALL...

MMA played quite well throughout, his winners final vs Losira was quite entertaining.

Missed the final final though :p fell asleep!

Also iNcontroL is still the most mannered player i've ever seen :p so much respect for that guy!

Also, for anybody that fancy's some games vs me tonight, i should be about!
wanna get back on the 1v1 scene, will be starting from the bottom though, need to remember my hotkeys :p
