Hi All.. I sored my WC out a while back.. Used Distilled water with corrosion inhibitor etc but didnt use a silver coil or pt nuke.. Sooo the result was algae..
It wasnt too bad until one day i noticed that the temp was really high on the CPU
So ripped it all to bits and the waterblock was caked in the waterchannels.. so cleaned with a old toothbrush and everything seemed fine. The only problem is that i am now adding a watercooled GPU and wanted to make sure i get rid of all the algae. Now i have the X2O 450 Pump with Acrylic Reservoir and even with a lot of flushing with almost boiling water there is still some growth in there.. I know that usign clear vinegar is supposed to work well but i am not sure if that will just clean it out rather than break it down..
Any help would be appreciated
