If I got angry about it you would audibly hear me swear I am completely calm in those situations.
I ride 2-3 seconds behind vehicles in the dry, in my daily commute I must count at least 20 times on average judging the rear of a car passing a key point to the point where I am about to pass at maybe 6 feet from it.
I rarely tip over the speed limit, all what you see is at or below the speed limit.
You can not see everything going on in the videos, in some cases you just have ot trust me that there are other obstacle around that mean I am well prepared to brake and avoid, I always try to have an escape route.
If you listen the noise of the engine you can hear I drop off the throttle when coming close and coast at this point I am also ready with the brake.
Because of the cameras limitations it may appear that I am closer to some vehicles than I actually am.
If I didn't look ahead to see what might happen I would have been long dead, i have been riding for 10 years and nearly every day is a learning experience.
It may appear that I am riding with a 'I have right of way' attitude and I do but its also with a 'I am invisible to every other road user' and 'Beware of idiots' attitude.
My road positioning sometimes can be less defensive that it should be but the video is taken to show I am not being unreasonable in my positioning so I am within the law.
I am going to take a BikeSafe course this year because I wish to learn more.
If anyone has specific things to point out where I could have positioned myself better I welcome it and will listen and try to apply that knowledge when I ride.
and yes I do currently live in the Harlow area, but only out of convenience.
I do like the road hawk... I wish my camera had a wide angle lens.
