Have resorted to playing on low settings to get a smoother game, really need a new graphics card as the 460 just isn't copying at 1920x1080 :(

I have a Gtx 260 OC

This is my ini file

If you're using mumble physichull make sure that the osd or mumble display isn't showing up in game, that caused a lot of issues for me.

Can't remember what it looked like perhaps it was an icon...

Ah right, I'll try and disable that. Makes guessing who is actually talking to me fun! Apologies in advance for any mix-ups! Headset arrived today so am looking forwards to trying it out.

I played without mumble and had no issues so it definately was/is a mumble thing.

I've just tested out the mouse in bfbc2 sp, got to get used to it... sensitivity is way different and i'm not sure what to use either and what settings. Smart move, precision speed low e.t.c

Woa really?

I've got a GTX260 on pretty high settings at 1920 x 1200 and it is fine. The only problems I get are when I try to scope in when there is a lot of smoke/dust floating around.

Ya does seem abit odd, all mine are generally on medium bar ssao/bloom because of my q6600 at 3ghz however it's perfectly playable.

All on highest settings for me, i'm using a 5870 though.

Try turning HBAO off and keeping the rest on max.

Just been checking my ini file from what Neil posted above, as I have FPS issues on my 5850. Noticed two lines I had at the bottom which are:

SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation 0.0450000
SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 45
After Googling these were added for some kind of lag compensation fix, any idea if this is still needed now? or should I keep these as-is?

I tried fiddling with the OSD with Mumble but nothing came on my screen. I didn't persever with it though.

I wonder if Punkbuster trips over the Mumble OSD like it does with MSI Afterburner's OSD and higher brain functions.

It gets even trickier with voices when you have to not only remember their game name to a voice but also remember their real names too.

And for game settings I go with Medium on my shader unlocked HD6950 simply because there's more foliage with High settings that can limit view, although I do have textures and stuff on high.

I played with these to death just after the game was released, the settings are something dice introduced, after being told that if you have the settings as close a possible to your actual in game ping the hitreg improved, so for example if you play on a server with a ping (not latency) of 100 you set the value to 0.100.............

doesnt work.......

MX518 wasnt it? I have DPI about 1000 or 1200 (think it goes up to 1800 but it was way too sensitive for me). I believe it is better to go for as high a DPI as possible and then adjust the ingame sensitivity (think i use 62) in order to be able to have the most precision. When i moved to the MX518 I was coming from an MS Intellimouse locked at 400DPI and loved the difference although choosing the right sensitivity took a while. Stabby on front thumb, nade on back thumb ;)

Take advantage of the on-the-fly sensitivity buttons to try out different DPIs. One thing i found really useful in BF2 (tho not at all in BC2) was having a super low DPI for long range sniping cos it allowed such tiny movements when coupled with a low mouse sens - might try it for BC2 actually but few maps where i'm far enough away from enemy to use it tbh.

What speed is ur i750 at? This game is CPU rather than GPU intensive and plays excellently on my bro's GTX 260 with Q6600 @ 3.2GHz

My Deathadder is at 1800dpi, and i usually have it at 75 sensitivity rating ingame with mouse acceleration. It does go up to 3500dpi, but trying to snipe/aim at that sensitivity is tough.

Is anyone having trouble staying connected to servers?

After about 20 minutes I lose my connection. It's happened on every server I've used in the last couple of days.

I've tried switching from wifi to ethernet, I've verified my game files (using steam), I've made sure my punkbuster is up to date, I'm using UPnP and I've made sure the correct ports are forwarded and my firewall is set to not interfere with my games.

That being said I've had a few connectivity issues since I installed the game. They just seem to have gotten worse recently.

It's really frustrating. As soon as I start to get into a game I get cut off.

have you tried updating punkbuster for a start to rule that out - http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=support-bc2.php
