I am having major problems with this atm, getting trounced every single game. I go back to non UT games and won the last 4. Just went back onto UT and lost again.

I am completely lost as to how my team perform like a blue square team and have done for the past 10 games yet before hand i held my own really well.

I've been a long term PES player however recently switched to Fifa (due it currently, being the better game and subsequently everyone else I know who's been playing PES, also switching to Fifa)

Now on PES I've always played Master League (start with a team, build it up, buy and sell players, try and get to the top etc). Is there an equivalent on Fifa? Is it any good?

I'm going re-connect and set my PS3 up again tomorrow and just wanted to know.

edit: reading this thread: what's all this talk about coins and packs?

Manager mode pretty much = Master league. Coins and packs are on the Ultimate Team game mode. Which is a free download on Fifa 11. I recommend you try it out, you start with terrible players then can work your way up to having awesome teams. You play other people or the computer. It's kept me playing Fifa for ages, constantly working on a team.

Dno what happened to my team in those two games - just couldnt either get a shot on target or Valdes saved them. Your Ozil is far more useful than Aguero and thank god you listened about putting in some speed in defence - Abidal just kept Ibra quiet for both games, even swapped him with Eto'o to see if I would have better luck in one game. Dont think I saw enough of Alonso to see what he added...

The first few minutes of the second game just made me laugh - dno what my defence thought they were defending - the halfway line?

Think I need to up my game!

It's hilarious the amount of pace abusers i come up against, i keep them quiet the whole game then they get a break or two and always score!
 
Well i wouldn't say my defenders were slow at all, just seem to stand there in shock as they get lobbed. It's all good, they will be worked on aswell as my positioning.

That and cutbacks are my major weaknesses at the moment, only way for me to get better at dealing with them is to have it done to me.
 
Time for a change 4231 just doesn't work for me, in fact, anything with just 1 up front doesn't work for me!

Edit: Looking for some cheap la liga stars 10k or under. Any suggestions?

I got beat in 4 games in a row last night too. First game was absolute rubbish, just a dirty horrible chanceless games for both players. Second game I got hammered 6-0. He had IF Jones up front who just knocked Pique around like he was a skinny child, a good side elsewhere (IF VDV etc), and he just gave me the run around. He was 5-0 up at half time before I twigged how to stop him and he still got one second half with Jones.

3rd game was much like the first, last game I actually dominated and was winning at one point. He equalised after some dodgy defending on my part. He then got a little break on the 88th with Robinho and just tapped it under Reina.

I had previously swapped out Cambiasso, Chiellini, UP Silva and Buffon for Alonso, Pique, IF Masch and Reina. These were the first games I'd played with them.

I think Masch is far too slow. All games I got beat in I was beat for pace. Pique was ok, and certainly he got in position better. I'm going to try and get 40-50k for him, but who should I get instead?

TL;DR - IF Masch for who? 4-5-1 La Liga, next to Pique, Abidal and Ramos.

I got most of my side for less than 10k each. Navas, Higuain, Di Maria, Abidal, Alonso, Nilmar, Rossi. Aguero sometimes goes for less than 10k on PS3 too, depending on position and patience and I saw a Pique go for 10k with no bids on Sunday.

Yup i seem to have the same problem against pace, will need a revamp of my squad. I haven't come up against an IF Jones yet but IF Ibrahimavic is my bane just knocks everyone around and has the skills to go right through them.

I am going to need to invest in a stronger defence, although if i do that i'll lack the pace.
