I can do both dates, it's 4hrs away from me though - what time do you reckon things will kick off?

I'll go on my own then! :p

Ok I've picked 23rd, but I'd like to point out that I am able to attened on the 9th if need be :D

I'd love to come but I doubt I'd be anywhere near fit enough to keep up with most of you.

Is there massive amounts of climbing involved there?

No, the climbs are fairly mild, Cannock is not near any mountains :) Besides, there's no shame in walking up the steep climbs or climbing in granny ring. No one gets left behind and as its a social ride its not about speed. If you find yourself lagging behind then everyone waits at the end of the section you're in.

Also, you've got a month or so to build up some fitness if you go for a ride a few times a week.

I'm far from fit also.

I can manage the FTD route pretty easily and I'm not massively fit, I struggled more with the monkey route but I was crazy hungover

Pretty much as above anyone of any ability is welcome, don't worry about the climbs i don't do them either :)

If you can get your legs used to doing 15-20 miles in a day allowing for rest stops, you'll be absolutely fine. Honestly, whilst there are some tough section s at Cannock its quite easy.

I "should" be able to do either day, I am on holiday between those dates so will either be packing or unpacking!

As everyone else have said, it's a social ride and the more the merrier - so please come :)
Us fatties can wheeze at the back and push up the climbs while the whippets are doing their thing up front! :D

ps: you can expect us all to be doing easy stuff like this http://www.vitalmtb.com/videos/member/NWD-Greatest-Hits-Trailer,7625/970biking,307 so you will have nothing to fear

^^ Me last time i went to the chase. Hesitated on the ramp and went over the handlebars ^^

Ramp?

Looks like a super narrow plank to me, better practice paying riding on the kerb paying attention to where my back wheel is going and not let it drop off the side on a narrow bit.
