Karl Pilkington - An Idiot Abroad

Absolutely one of the funniest shows that's ever been on TV, I'm a huge fan of Ricky Gervais/Steve/Karl, I love their podcasts & the "Ricky Gervais Show".

An idiot abroad is totally hilarious, are they really doing a season 2? That's awesome haha.

Karl says some of the most funniest and priceless lines I've ever heard, man's a legend!

From Ricky Gervais's blog:

Week one hundred and sixty-three - March/April 2011

That's the last time I eat cheese just before bed.

Dreamt that a sea lion told me to dance with an elephant. So I did. Mental.

Karl got back from Alaska today. It was the first trip of An Idiot Abroad 2 : The Bucket List.

He's not happy. It's not what he expected at all. Still too late now. He signed the contract and cashed the cheque. What a ****ing twonk.

Why did he trust us again?

I have the angriest message saved on my phone.

Really. He's so angry, and sick and tired that... it's hilarious.

I may post it online.

Hope you enjoyed the all-day marathon on The Science Channel and the new episode of the animation on HBO.

We've now had 300 million downloads for The Ricky Gervais Show. Not bad is it?

Here's to season 3 of that, because there certainly won't be a season 3 of An Idiot Abroad. He's not that much of a ****, surely?

They will have to do some new material if there is going to be a 3rd season of the Ricky gervais show, as I think they have just about used up all the existing podcast material. I hope so anyway as I really enjoy their work and it would be great to hear some new stuff.

Not a massive fan of the Idiot abroad, but i'll give it a watch. Think Karl is more funny when they all get together though.

Sorry to bump this but getting into the OC forums and community spirit!
I'd always heard the name chucked around, like in Gervais' stand up but it was only recently I saw one of the animated ones on tv and then was hooked.

Watched Idiot abroad and loved it! Like people in the thread I kept questioning how real Karl is but have now started listening to the XFM radio shows from series 2 onwards (the ones where Karl became producer) and i love it, hearing it from the beginning and how he takes an even more active part in each show as it progresses is awesome... I'm now like 30 episodes in and its an addiction!

Bring on the new series!

David

Just went to have a listen to some of the earlier shows on plikipedia and apparently they have been contacted by XFM lawyers and had to remove all the show recordings :(.

Gone from karlsroundhead.com as well

Unfortunately I has some rather bad news for fans of the K-Man. The legal boffins who represent XFM have been in touch and I am no longer allowed to host the shows on the website. It's a real shame that there are now fewer and fewer places you can listen to the shows where it all began but the law is the law and there ain't nothin I can do.

That is sad, however you can still get them from various places.. Although one of them is down atm :(

First ive heard of that.

I dont think thats happening, if so not yet

Ricky and Steve are working on Lifes too Short TV series at the moment

Aye Ricky Gervais has already sent Karl out to the new locations. He's been leaving voice messages for him again. Sure there's some more info about it on Rickys blog.

Ricky Gervais has revealed that his sidekick Karl Pilkington will appear in a forthcoming episode of 'The Simpsons'.

Karl Pilkington is to appear in 'The Simpsons'.

The 'An Idiot Abroad' star appeared less than overwhelmed when comic pal Ricky Gervais told him one of their sketches would feature in the long-running animated sitcom but the 'Office' star insists his friend is delighted.

Ricky wrote on his blog: "He's excited about being on 'The Simpsons'. I won't give the joke away but they are featuring a little clip of 'The Ricky Gervais Show' in a future episode. He said, 'good that init?'

"Trust me. That's him being over the ******* moon."

Ricky has also promised fans that the next series of 'An Idiot Abroad' - which features Karl's attempts to heighten his cultural awareness around the world - will be as good as the first.

He wrote: "Finished a rough edit of Karl's first 'An Idiot Abroad 2' trip. **** me what a whinging Manc t**. So, as I say, as good as the first series."

'An Idiot Abroad' has enjoyed huge worldwide success, but Karl remains unimpressed.

Ricky explained: "I told Karl that An Idiot Abroad became the highest rated entertainment programme ever on the Australian channel this week. I was very excited. Karl, unimpressed said, 'Yeh but I think it's quite a new channel.' Ha ha. Good point. I said, (still trying to enthuse) 'But that's Sky, Science Channel and now this one, where we're the highest rated ever...' I think he mumbled something. Not sure."

I'm very much a casual Simpson's viewer but I have to see this :D

The first series is amazing and I cant wait for the second one of my favorites is when he's in the taxi on about his gran or something having a chiwawa that gets pilfered off her by a seagull.

Oh and can't forget: "well I wouldn't mind getting that bit done that your having selso because sometimes I have to took it in my pants and thats a sign its a bit too long init?"

You'll find him more funny if you listen to the XFM series he did :)

BTW IS THAT A FETUS?
