Stick the two 6mm on the front and put the 5mm and 3mm on the rear and enjoy another 4 months driving before needing new tyres.

Yup, definitely. If it's sunny and you're feeling brave, change the tyre. If you can't be bothered, phone the people you've paid to do it!

Wouldn't you feel even a tiny bit ashamed calling the AA just to put your spare on though?

I just couldn't do it, and considering that it takes 5 minutes as opposed to at least 45 mins waiting for the AA it seems rather silly.

No, I wouldn't - you are paying for the service, after all. If I am going to work and get a puncture I am not going to change it in my suit and pressed Daz-white shirt.

On a similar note, I stood in Staples today and stared at the woman who expected me to pick up a box with a chair in and take it to the car myself. How about.. you get someone to do it for me?

I guess being 5ft 6, 8 stone and gay I have lost any man points worth fighting for.

Actually, thinking about it, if I get the cheaper tyres, the £300 (quoted £395 fitted by dealer) saved can get me parking sensors...which will be more useful in the log run. Hmmmm decisions decisions!

Just saying, in terms of more bang for bucks, parking sensors gives more for the almost same amount of money spent.

I am not talking about cheapo tyres like £40 worn ones, I am talking about some half decent ones rather than £150 EACH ones. 95% of performance for 60% of the cost. In exchange of money saved that i can spend on other things, i.e. Parking sensors SHOULD I choose to.

It is an option, they do not necessarily go hand in hand.

Besides, those hankook do look decent from the reviews, they came out top in the test and the review does not even mention value for money/costs.

Why are you finding tyres for £150 anyway? You hardly have enormous wheels, good tyres are much cheaper.

Just get V12 Evo's and don't bother with parking sensors, you'll get the hang of it
