CM HAF 912 Plus Case

Nah I was just joking, it won't fit :p. The cooler's like 30cm too large.

You didn't actually order it did you?

(just joking ;))

He was joking ;) there should be loads of room for the cooler in the case since it's quite wide for a case its size. Awesome case though I built a rig last week in one ;)

Stoner81.

you might need an extension cable for your 8 pin power as once that NH-D14 is on your board and the board is screwed in your case the space between the cooler and case is very tight.

I remember seeing a guy on youtube with the case having it inside and also the CM-690 II has a tad more features but doesn't cool quite as well or hold as long video cards so it's hard to say which is better depends what you want really.

Also just searched it and people say it will fit fine which isn't surprising as it's quite big on the inside.

Both are great cases though, even better than the antec 902 which i have and will switch sometime in the coming months.

I hate Antec 1200 case now! Because of ugly HDD bays, horrible side windows fan block the Noctua D14 (had to cut it myself) and the cable in the back is very tight to the back side windows (difficult to lock it) and the backplate cut-out isn't there! But, a great airflow thought!

Just brought SATA dvdrw re-writer and get rid of my old IDE dvdrw re-writer as I hate the IDE cable. (I should go for blu-ray re-writer but it too expensive for me at the moment)

Theres nothink wrong with the cooling imo im using one now and the case is cool and looks much better than the cm haf 912 plus.

Didn't say there was anything wrong with the cooling, they both cool very well and yeah it does look better. :p

I hate the way you have to clean the dust filters plus the fans seem too loud.

Also feels too cramped if you want SLI/CF.

Overall, massive disappointed with Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus case today, the temperature not good as the Antec 1200 case. It does fit Noctua D14 but very very tight as the 8 pin is very difficult to plug into as I had to removed the motherboard first before put into the case (learn my lesson)

Before with Antec 1200 case:

i7 920 d0 @ 4.20GHz 73C (1350rpm) after 20x linpack
Motherboard 32C
North Bridge 43C
GPU 51C
Room Temp 21C

After with Cooler Master HAF 12 Plus case:

i7 920 d0 @ 4.20GHz 86C (1588rpm) after 20x linpack
Motherboard 48C
North Bridge 56C
GPU 58C
Room Temp 21C

Not the best airflow case (very disappointed with no top fan at all) This case only had 1 big fan at the front and 1 x 120mm rear exhaust fan. How wrongful is the reviews say this case had the best cooling case! It let me down ! I suppose it because the case was too cheap to buy! I think it more suitable to AMD and Sandybridge but not recommend for high extreme i7 920/950 and 990x!

I might consider Corsair 800D case next after my holiday.

You might want to look else where when considering a 800D if you are only air cooling. It's not the best of cases for air cooling, but a really nice case if you go water cooling instead.

You might want to look at a Corsair 600T or a Cooler Master HAF-X instead. Also the Silverstone Raven is another good choice.

Did you have the standard fans in your old Antec case? As if not that might make a difference. Plus as you mentioned, the 912 doesn't come with all it's fans. Did you fit the missing fans when testing?
