****Official Android Drag Racing Thread****

how the hell to people get 1/4 miles in the 7.2's. Ive got a full modded veryon and tuning package and no matter what i change i cant get out of 7.3

Hi

i need some advice

i just sold all my cars
im trying todo the level 4 boos on 1/4 mile, that lambo uses nitro before he starts then jets off???!?!?

Trying to climb the pro league ladder. Got a nearly maxxed Venom but RP is becoming scarce now and i hear this is the best way.

What's the best car at level 7?

Which gets tonked by the Zonda in turn. Just made an 8.397 on the 1/4 in level 7. PROUD.

Finally got the hang of tuning woooo ;)

Edit: It's the fastest time I've ever seen (but I'm 99.9% sure that someone will have beaten it at some point). If I can get this consistently there's no point me upgrading to 8 as this is a 100% earner!
Edit 2: 8.395 - WOW
Edit 3: Hahahahhahahaa, just got devastated by a Audi R8 who did it in 8.369 - killed my dreams

Just tried the 599 on the 1/4, 8.620, beaten by a Viper and a Gallardo, both around 8.500!

Think I'll just stick to my 12.430 1/2 mile runs, then decide what to buy for level 8, any recommendations? Tempted by the new 9ff GT9-R, anyone tried it out yet?

I can only manage ~12.6 in my Zonda in the 1/2, then again it has absolutely no power upgrades, built entirely to be quick off the line.

Got 3 level 7s all 1/4 mile cars, the Koenigsegg, Lambo and Zonda (bought in that order, what a waste of money - wish I'd just bought the bloody Zonda) and only the 599 in 6 as my other car which I'll probably build up for the half.

Just bought and upgraded the Venom now and will have a play with that - 3k rep for tuning though... brilliant... that's 90+ pro league wins for me to go hah

It's also 2k rep for every single one of the level 5 upgrades

Aye, but I'm not bothered about taking it to 10 yet, will play around in 9 for a bit

Edit: was also just a way to waste points, I wont be using any RP on it until I get bored of my Zonda after maxing out levels 7 and 8

It's not at all competitive at level 9 sadly. Basically it only comes into its own once it's nearly completely upgraded. I've got level 5 engine, turbo and tyres, level 4 nitro and level 3 air filter and weight reduction and level 4 tyres and it's only just now become faster than any other model of car over 1/2 a mile.

For those saving to upgrade the venom/veyron SS:

9ff GT9-R

Engine: 4
Turbo: 5
Filter: 3
Nitro: 5
Weight: 4
Tyres: 5

No tuning.

Max out revs at starting line, shift up to 2nd gear as soon as the flag drops. Hit the nitro when you shift into 3rd. Try to get all perfect shifts as it makes a big difference, especially when the nitro is burning.

Pretty much guaranteed a minimum of 45 rep per 1/4 mile race in the pro league. Can save up 1000rep in 10 mins. Every once in a blue moon a SSC Aero will show up with a stupidly quick time, i'm not sure how those people are managing it, but after tinkering with the Aero i can't get close. The GT9-R is the most reliable car to get good rep from LVL9 Pro races.

Is there any way to get into the higher level pro leagues without starting afresh with a level 1 car? I couldnt figure out how so I bought an s2000 but promptly got bored in 10mins (roughly how long it took to do the 1/2 mile :p). I'd rather carry on racing my new Veyron as above ^^ !

There isn't, however i managed to get to lvl10 with less than an hours work. If you come first in the early races you get 75-100 rep. Even at level 9 you only need 550 rep to advance to level 10 so you can move up a rank with a handful of races. You can get the money needed for the early cars in just a couple of lvl 10 driver battles

I just bought any old car that was near the bottom of the leve i needed to race at, upgraded it with the cash only upgrades (1 & 2) and raced a couple of times until i could advance. Once i got to higher levels i already had the cars required/knew which cars were good so it was easy.

Level 9 pro really is the easiest way to earn rep! Just got 118 rep and just under $75k in three 1/4 mile races (about 1 min work).

Loving this game. I could really use some beginner pointers though. What should I be doing pre M 3?

Not liking the new update. It seems they've removed multitouch for some reason and it seems there's some sort of delay between hitting nitro and being able to change gears.

As a result nearly a quarter of a second has been added to my GT9 times as i used to hit nitro a split second before i shifted to third gear, now i have to do it after shifting which makes a massive difference.

Boooo!
