Max'd out 5850 & 5870?

A 5850 can do 5870 speeds on air, you may need to adjust voltage though.
Yes, i know that one. My mate as a 5850 nearly matching my 5870 with little volt mod. Got mine to 930. Im just thinking to get the extra under water you may need the 5870 as the 5850 may start failing earlier due to less shders and already OC'd to match 5870
Headroom basically, is it better on the 5870 making it worth the extra £££

Original V1 revisions seem to clock better, my sapphire 5850 does 850/1200 on air with no voltage tweak and runs quiet at full load, the Sapphire Extreme HD5850 hits this usually with the TRIXX utility you can download,

I cant up the voltage on my 2 5870's though so 930 is max safe. Any ideas on what that could be. Nothing in my bios or nothing for voltage to pci-e

MSI Afterburner, change the config settings and whack up the volts.
Got it but it doesnt unlock the voltage even thopugh i said to
XFX 5870's that overclockers have. Is it them?EDIT: I know, its the non reference XFX cards
